  1. The only difference will be when we're competing with English League One teams for players. Do lower league teams get any money (asking for a Thistle fan I'm out with tonight)?
  2. Not Spain. Why are they paying about 30% of what we are?
  3. Stephen Robinson and Stuart McCall did at Motherwell. Possibly Graham Alexander too but not in public.
  4. Correct. I think Kenny Miller just assumes Hearts must be in third place despite them spending most of the day watching games and seeing what is going on. I certainly don't think that Motherwell are set apart from everyone other than Celtic, Rangers and Hearts.
  5. I hope you enjoy it more than I did (wouldn't be difficult).
  6. We must be due about five against St. Mirren. That doesn't do Livingston any good though, that was a howler yesterday. Maybe they'll get a dodgy decision against St. Mirren in a sort of three-way balancing out?
  7. Kenny Miller said last night that they're is very little between the teams from Hearts down. I assume he's including Motherwell in that upper echelon (I wouldn't).
  8. Hurricane Jack fro Fyne Ales going down a treat after staying off the beer before picking Mrs. McSquackle up.
  9. It's 10 to 3 on a Saturday afternoon and not one bit of team news from any other game.
  10. I take it more than 2 each would require defensive inquests so isn't acceptable?
  11. I'm going to guess Wark, Boyd and Hammell as his three left-backs but that's only because I think he'd have Hammell in looking for relevance. I'd actually have McKinnon instead.
  12. I could be getting mixed up but I think it was Accies who had a scoreboard fixed to the floodlight pylon. Someone climbed a ladder at half time and put the numbers onto the board for A, B, C etc. to show the scores.
  13. There's been talk of an offside Efford nodding in a goal-bound shot but that wasn't on the highlights.
  14. That's absolutely dreadful. If he doesn't know anything about him he should at least do a bit of elementary research.
  15. I didn't realise it was 6 added minutes. I was trying to be sociable in a beer garden with my phone on the table showing the scores on BBC website and it had got to 90+5' when my dad called me to tell me we'd won. There were 6 added minutes last week which was enough time for us to equalise and still lose.
  16. Based on recent experience, it's more likely that Saturday's performance was more likely to have been a blip on our part rather than Aberdeen's and we'll lose to Livi but there were some encouraging signs. I thought Cornelius's passing ability was a huge upgrade on Maguire's last week and it sounds as though he continued that against Aberdeen with his work-rate also impressing.
  17. The highlights also seemed to show that Spittal has somehow become an attacking threat. Johansen also looked like a bomb-scare to rival Mugabi - so who does Lamie replace?
  18. From the same brewery, I Can't Even Watermelon Ale. I'm just not getting these weird fruit beers but at least I'm building up my 5 a day! Anyway, onto something much more traditional - Nooky Broon!
  19. I've been at a wee run of gigs at the Kelvingrove Bandstand which really is a special venue, particularly in the recent great weather. Pixies were the stand-out but also The Jesus and Mary Chain on Friday then Altered Images and Edwyn Collins last He's an inspiring character and, going by posts in the Motherwell thread, a top bloke to boot.
  20. I Love Lamp pineapple Hefeweizer from Evil Genius in Philadelphia. Wasn't impressed on first taste but it's growing on me.
  21. I'm surprised they didn't comment on it. He never even paused his drinking, it was as though nothing had happened. At least the guy a few seats along briefly clapped.
  22. I was at Kelvingrove last night. Edwyn Collins was tremendous - what a guy[emoji122] . If I'd seen this I could have tried cheering a bit louder.
  23. Congratulations! Although you're wife's probably not best pleased about her big day being overshadowed [emoji16]. In years to come you'll look back and she'll say "Remember the day we got married " and you'll say "Yeah, Graham Alexander got sacked "!
