  1. ^^^ Annoyed he missed the 23yo cancer sufferer for 2020. NAP she’s captain in his 2021 team.
  2. A wee tet late but, to all you boys complaining about Dave, you do realise that he’s spent the last 20-odd years dealing with corporate America? That tends to lead to a rather self important view of their place the world. Have you not had any experience of Americans in Aberdeen in the last few decades?
  3. As has been said earlier, the small populations in Scottish neighbourhoods allows for massive skewings of comparable stats. The Stirling /Clacks differential is the one I’ve looked at although I don’t have the detail here right now. But the essential premise is that Sauchie is indeed the epicentre in Clacks but, because of the open testing centre in Alloa, they are testing roughly twice the proportion of the population and consequently turning up about twice the number of positives c/w Stirling. Combine that with the smallest Council area population sample size and trying to compare/extrapolate becomes a meaningless exercise.
  4. Problem is the wacky finance deals are predicated on the manufacturers churning out cars and dealers needing to shift stock. Much of the manufacturing has been severely curtailed for the past year so currently there’s not much surplus stock swilling about. I think you might find it relatively expensive to commit now rather than a year past or waiting for a year in the future.
  5. Who’d have thought you’d be first on this? Like a dog at a bag of hot chips as always. Expect to feature prominently M8; but maybe not quite box office. Upper mid-table is my guess. (and to save you the trouble of a reply - no, I won’t feature anywhere).
  6. Not so sure. Both our goals from set pieces that Morelos had no part in.
  7. They do look about the most organised opponents I’ve seen of late. Hoping for fitness and the bench to make the difference in the last 15mins.
  8. Snap. This week it has been Wayne’s World followed by Police Academy. Think Airplane will be next up. Some of the humour though ; doesn’t really pass muster in these more enlightened times.
  9. I think I know you. If this was early/mid 90s I can confirm this story, from my experience of the same industry at the time and (confirmed) multiple rumours about said boss’s (surely there can’t be two of them out there?) party trick, to be true.
  10. ^^^ Big Team found. Everyone Anyone. (Even Jags fans!)
  11. Ffs. Not a pun in sight but Zen knocks it out the park. Again. As he always does with plumbing issues. Like for like = minimal issues/hassle.
  12. Next book I’m going to read: Fun fact for today. You ever heard of thon boy Tim Peake, the astronaut? My mother popped in with my birthday present this pm. Tim Peake’s Autobiography! (Fk knows why, I suppose that’s the sort of gift you give when you struggle to see what on earth the beneficiary might need, but anyhoo). Turns out I was at school with him for two years! I bet he’s always asking himself - I wonder whatever happened to that Scottish boy alta-pete !!! I’ll bet he’s made something of his life!! (I’m expecting a wee menshie around p.60 ). Will keep ye’s posted.
  13. My take is someone had a go a Morelos in racist terms, Goldson’s (quite rightly) taken umbrage at that and then Gerrard’s had a pop at the referee after half time ‘I could hear from over there (on the bench)’ was my lip read of it.
  14. Impressively animated frothing from the diddies on here about a subject that, if you follow to the root of their argument, shouldn’t really be bothering them one iota. For my tuppenceworth, being brought up on the fringes of Paisley to Edinburgh born parents who didn’t follow football I suppose my choice was St Mirren or Rangers. Can’t remember exactly why - but given this was late 70s it certainly wasn’t for glory hunting - my team was Rangers. Having since grown up, I’ve moved to Central Scotland and married a girl who’s entire family are fully paid up season ticket holders at Parkhead. (Part of the New Town Glasgow diaspora referred to earlier). The diddies are correct in that there is a significant enough undesirable element to each side of the OF. In the interests of all sorts of reasons already laid out I therefore started taking a-p Jnr to Stirling Albion games on a regular basis hoping he’d develop that chip-on-the-shoulder nobility so clearly on display here. However that hasn’t really stuck and despite not seeing Rangers win anything of consequence since he’s been following football, he’s now decided Rangers is his team. tl;dr - father’s influence seems the trump card.
  15. Could be a bit of friction at the PnB Christmas Party this year.
  16. I don’t know enough about it (sorry for all you fan club zealots) but I’m 100% behind this point of view. King was/is nothing but an opportunist. He’s used his weight of capital to gain control for very little cash but now expects to be bought out for actual cash. I’d rather he sold his shareholding to existing Board members - who know the actual value - where they’d have a better idea as to where to take the club, rather than emotionally whip the fans up to spend £13m among however many ‘000 fans/mugs/customers/investors/you choose. He then disappears and the club is no better off.
