  1. It's not just the time to get through the airport, it's allowing for traffic on the way to the airport. Maybe not so much of a problem for some airports but for others you need to legislate for significant traffic delays. I used to live in North Manchester and the journey to Manchester Airport took anything from 30 minutes to 1hr 30 minutes on any given day/time of day. So, you had to allow the 1hr 30 mins just in case. Funnily enough, when we had to drive down to London it was easier to gauge time as the longer distance evened out the traffic jams.
  2. Don't most folk show up 2 hours or so before the flight time? Maybe a bit less for domestic.
  3. I've read a fair few posts here about folk disappearing into cupboards, sometimes more than 1 person. You folk must have had classes with some size of cupboards compared to what we had.
  4. Aware of it? He's single handedly responsible for it!
  5. Where I am we don't have a hot water supply (except for the shower 'cos we're posh) so everything is cold washed. During the most humid time we use the dryer function but most of the time stuff is hung out - no need to iron.
  6. I agree a few of the events are borderline ridiculous but the vast majority are pretty mainstream - I just ignore the dodgy ones.
  7. Apparently if the phrase is used to describe a woman it means she has a shapely figure. I'll not be testing that out on the wife though!
  8. It seems at least 1 guy took your excellent advice
  9. The appropriate course of action is to take a dump there about 5 minutes before they arrive. That will learn her!
  10. One of the girls in our class would chew A3 size - she was a popular girl right enough!
  11. Thought so. We would make little ones that could be ejected through a straw. I remember one time a few of us found the cleaner's stash of bog rolls and made a few huge doofers and lobbed them onto the metal bike shed roof which was in a courtyard surrounded by classrooms - it was like a series of bombs going off.
  12. A quick look online seems to suggest tips are pooled and shared out to staff weekly. Maybe each location has its own policy.
  13. Just a thought - if the corroboration process is difficult, why do they prosecute multiple cases using it? Wouldn't they be better trying each case on its own merits? Sure, more expensive and time consuming but isn't justice the priority?
  14. I meant that night! Actually, you probably did too!
  15. My old man once brought a brick home instead of his flask - he was a joiner which makes it even worse.
