  1. Purdah is the pre-election period in the United Kingdom, specifically the time between an announced election and the final election results.[1] The time period prevents central and local government from making announcements about any new or controversial government initiatives (such as modernisation initiatives or administrative and legislative changes) which could be seen to be advantageous to any candidates or parties in the forthcoming election. This is what fibbers is arguing against here. Ignoring the manchild for a moment all sane people reading this ask yourself do you think the vow was in breach of This? And his is what fibbers is arguing against. That's incredible dishonesty.
  2. this is what he's like. Also they got Gordon Brown to announce it as he wasn'tprivy to purdah but it as approved by them all and made a material offer which wasn't aloud. Fibbers describes it as a commission on more powers which is disingenuous, a commission could be held and provide no powerst all Iin theory. This was a concrete offer of powers, the commission was simply to iron out the details.
  3. Actually having reread it I misunderstood I take it back. Though obviously the vow was a basic breach of purdah anyway as it made a new offer to the electorate when it was a breach of purdah to do so. One which had been ruled out by bt as part of the Edinburgh agreement negotiations actually.
  4. Ooh not even a little bit wrong fibbers a bigbit. The only way the ggovernment and entirety of better together were able to claim purdah wasn't broken was tomclaim they were acting in their roles as party leadersnot as ministers, as purdah explicitly prevents the pm aand deputy pm etc from doing so. You also give an inaccurate description of purdah which in factchanges for mmostelections as Iis appropriate.
  5. I do remember a slight breach of purdah from 3 days before the referendum actually now you mention it.
  6. Ecco shoes are brilliant but expensive as f**k. There are other cheaper ones just as good, Footjoy, Nike etc.
  7. Are you sure it wasn't just the holding company of Hereford utd that Died? Why didn't you just rename it the Hereford utd, buy their history and carry on? If anyone has anything to say about it threaten to burn down their stadium
  8. You must find reading difficult. I'm referring to your dismissal of Scots not gaelic, that's whi said you think our language is shit and that's what he's replying to, try and keep up.
  9. I was speaking about scots not gaelic
  10. okay I'll take your word for it. I'm surprised the keep putting forward Tasmina then as she's shite.
  11. No it's not, you have at least 12 years with kids in school, a little bit of basic gaelic woul be Easy to fit in same as Ireland do. I'm not surprised you oppose Scottish history being taught in Scottish schools, you think our national poet, capital city and language are shit. I think we should really just dismiss the pinions of self loathers on such matters though.
  12. I'mnnot sure they do, I think you have to be invited, which is probably why the bbc repeatedly invite one of the SNP's weakestspeakers Iinstead of mhairi black. Has sh ever been on Btw? Youngest MPfor aeons , great speaker and lgbt you'dtthink qt would be battering her door down. Perhaps because she's so bloody good I the reason they haven't.
  13. Good post but it's hardly the case that we can't do both its not one or the othr
  14. Yeah total self loather, our national poet is shit our capital city is shit now our language is shit. He's the Scottish 'I hate my gums cause they black' guy. Apologies if you don't get the reference.
  15. 30 million in India alone. They don't teach these things in British schools. See someone mentioned China excellent shout it's possible but that flag relatively young. It's possible who knows it's a throwaway statement the point is a hell of a lot of blood. see
  16. Great post and you're a great proponent of Scots. My grandads first language was gaelic, in Scotland you're supposed to say gahlic btw, gaylic is Irish. Most people get tht wrong. I think the relatively tiny percentage of gaelispeakers is a result of the cultural imperialism of the uk state which actively tried to eradicate it for a long time. I think it's a shame we don't do gaelic in school and think we probably should do a little similar to how we learn french or German. It's part of our cultural heritage. I never got him to teach me any though which is a shame, only know a couple of words.
  17. I think it's very important to keep gaelic alive personally and think we will see a modest resurgence in that similar to Wales but not to the same extent. I'm not surprised you disagree, and think your opinions on scots should be understood in the context that you believe it is how ' backwardspeasants' speak and ddismissed accordingly as a result of your snobbery.
  18. You don't sound offended. I'm sorry if my fair description of the most blood soaked flag in human history upsets you.
  19. Are you offended by my referring t the flag you jack off to in such Terms?
