  1. I feel there's been a lot of this for us. We've a bad habit of bringing in a player that gets the fans excited only for the to struggle, then move on and go on to do well against us etc.
  2. Going against what most have said but I’m quite optimistic about Yogi being appointed. Not everyone’s cup of tea but I think it’ll work well, each to their own I suppose. He was who I wanted after Petrie/Dick in the summer and probably was just behind Petrie or Robbo this time. Think he’ll get us out of this mess, I’m sure he’s learned from mistakes and is ready to give this a good go. Has my full backing!
  3. Couldn’t be there today so made do with ParsTV. At least a result like that should make the hiring panel see that an untried manager isn’t what we need. We need someone with Championship experience and good Championship experience, the squad isn’t good enough.
  4. Interview with the Courier this evening. Not ruling us out but says he’s not been asked about the Pars job and states that any approach has to be respectful as he’s an ICT employee.
  5. Not been on here since PG left. Great that it’s done, shite how it turned out but I don’t think any of us seen it going differently. The day he was announced I genuinely started wondering who our next manager would be. Naturally Petrie was the guy I wanted most, but having spoken to someone I work with who knows John Robertson over the the last couple of days I think he’s the man I want. For many a year I’ve seen him as a future manager of Dunfermline one day but couldn’t see him leaving Inverness. Would be nice if this is now more possible that he’s not the manager there. Kenny Miller isn’t the man for this job now, IMO we need championship experience but I’d be lying if I wasn’t pleased with how he spoke about us on Open Goal. It wasn’t just stabbing at random facts, he’d done some homework.
  6. I’m sure that Ross Graham is the older brother of our ex player Finn Graham who went on to play for Brechin, now playing in Australia.
  7. If Arbroath win tomorrow then it'll be down to the football played, not the conditions.
  8. "Dunfermline were not as much beaten by a football side but by the stormy February weather" Honestly who comes up with and who signs off on this absolute sh*te. It's actually infuriating.
  9. Does my pan in that every insult by the young team is about someone being a peado. It's absolutely chronic patter.
  10. To be fair, Mo Hutton looks equally as disappointed. Maybe DT23 had left skids in his slips and Mo wasn't happy. The celebration was a GIFUY to Mo.
  11. So does Jim McIntyre not fall under the ex players and coaches category? Your take on Dick Campbell doing nothing with a full time team was irrelevant, he’s currently having an absolute stormer with a part time team and has been getting a tune out of them for years now, there’s no fluke there. I don’t care if he didn’t do well with Partick Thistle in 2005
  12. Might just be wishful thinking but I’ve woke up with a feeling he’ll get his jotters today. When the statement came out it said results had to improve and fast, they haven’t.
  13. I mean it’s unlikely he’ll want to come but if I’m picking he’s getting the job. No reason why he shouldn’t be considered.
  14. Thought we were very poor tonight apart from a piece of brilliance from Dom Thomas. Raith also not up to much but understandable given their missing players. No doubt about it they’re currently a far better footballing team than us when at full strength. Also absolutely no issue with the celebrations from the Raith fans, quite rightly enjoyed the moment and myself and others around me said we’d probably have reacted the same had we done it, in fact in November 2009 when Craig Wilson scored the OG with the final kick of the game to give us a 1-2 win I’m sure some of us were on the pitch. Grant has to go now. I know the players are shiftless, gutless b*****ds but he “coaches” them. Raith had a freekick tonight on the edge of the box, he was shouting on as the players made their offside line and he was confusing everyone. Dom Thomas was shouting back to him and you’d think they were both speaking different languages. Dick Campbell or Stewart Petrie, or both I don’t care anymore just give them as much money as they want and do it fast.
  15. I wasn't attributing them to Connolly, more OFW. Connolly has still made an improvement in terms of organisation but it's a well done for everyone in the defence as far as I'm concerned.
  16. Wondered the same about Graham, him and the boy Jones have been missing for weeks. Graham was last on the bench for the 1-1 game at Starks and Jones was on the bench for the 1-0 loss in Dumfries. I have a feeling Breen will partner Connolly tonight. McCann came on briefly against QoS and has been on the bench the last two weeks. His last full 90 was the loss to Alloa on the final league game of last season, he's had a few appearances totaling about 50 mins for NI U21's over the summer. Would imagine he's miles off being match fit. Although he's played nearly as much as Iain Wilson and we're calling for him to get a start tonight.
  17. Raith's missing players list works both ways. We should get a win tonight with all the absences they have, so if we do win then PG stays - win for the other 9 teams. If we fail to win tonight against a depleted Raith squad then it adds more fuel to the fire to get rid - a win for us. We're fairly solid at the back. Connolly has made a massive difference and I'd be keen to keep him longer than January. Make no mistake that there's been huge improvements defensively, also OFW is in a rich vein of form, pulling off some really top drawer saves and collecting a good number of clean sheets. It's middle to front we're struggling with. The weird thing is we do have 3 good strikers but the chances for them is limited. Hopefully Iain Wilson being back in the middle will make a big impact for us.
  18. Aye any of the streets around Garvock Hill will be fine, I usually park near Lambert Drive if I'm driving and will be tonight. Alternatively there's a proper car park 5 minutes away on the other side of the Aldi, Leys Park Road it's called. I don't tend to park there but believe it's absolutely crap to get out of at full time.
  19. I like it being a total free for all. Yesterday I looked at the 40 teams in the draw and there was certainly a lot of interesting potential ties, good days out etc. We got the bum draw, an away game to a team in the division where we certainly wouldn't be favourites but we have had some really good ones in recent years. Last season we got Morton away which is on par with yesterdays draw but before that we had Stranraer away, a derby away at Starks, away to Queens Park at Hampden and away to Buckie Thistle. The results of the first two not worth mentioning but scoring 4 at Hampden despite it being -500 and the day out up in Buckie was fantastic.
  20. Without sounding like a total roaster, the way Iain Wilson plays reminds me a bit of Yaya Toure, well obviously Toure is no where near as good. Tall, physical, good with the ball at his feet in tight spaces and will drive the team up the park. Can do the dirty work but also has the offensive part of his game, will chip in with the odd goal as well. I think PG done his Dorrans and Pybus signings this season thinking Wilson would be back sooner. Regardless I'm just happy he's back. Like @Rob1885 I'm looking forward to seeing him at East End in a Pars shirt, seen him cruise against us for QoS a fair few times.
  21. I've not been able to listen to one of his interviews in months purely because of how ridiculous they are. Did he genuinely complain about the wind at the weekend? Was it even that bad? He'll be devastated when he arrives at Gayfield next week.
  22. In the statement from RM/TM they said there was discussions with PG and all parties knew that results had to pick up and quickly. Now I know we're not getting emptied every week but how long do we keep going until draws become unacceptable in the eyes of the board? I never thought I'd be one of the 'I hope we lose so the manager gets binned' types but I know that walking out of the 2-2 draw with Killie where a last minute equaliser earned us a point I genuinely felt disappointment as I knew he'd get more time. That shouldn't be the feeling, I should have been delighted. The Peter Grant thing won't work, it's already buggered and well more than 50% of the support are fed up to a point that they're not going to games. The apathy from all areas of the support is really quite sad to see and it will take a change of manager and a bloody good change at that. I'll be there tomorrow, I'll back the team but if we lose it won't ruin my night. Stewart Petrie SOS
