A few years ago we played Dundee colts at Den's and I said hell no I'm not going to watch a reserve game. I have no interest watching colt teams in the senior divisions of Scottish football. For me Colts are just an attempt to monopolise transfer fees. Oh, we've got a promising youth player look at him playing in our B team. Can't break into the first team but we're such a #bigclub. Oh you would like him on loan? Here's the loan fee. It's turning development into a closed shop so the big two or the big 5 in the end can make more money from their academies. It's not and never will be about the national team.

Dropping in here to mention, while you're giving away good players, we'd not mind O'Hara back for a stint instead of rotting on the bench.

Just to wind everyone up, the more I look at the Obileye red card the more I can see why the referee gives it. It's a lunge and he lands on Taggart's foot/ankle. Andy's hold might have looked WWE but it's never a red card.

The referees are very poor these days. I will die on that hill. We dumped pixellot entirely on Saturday. I was going to have it as the replay camera but the source wasn't working and I was trying to get people logged on in the first half. We've used our own camera since we played Inverness the first time. That's the difference. We were sending it to pixellot's set up but there were lots of buffering issues (with the caveat I wasn't getting them), lots of compatibility issues, I was getting between 2% and 5% of people watching complaining. On Saturday we had 0 complaints for the first time this season. Pixellot's camera is essentially 4 webcams stacked together and an algorithm looks for the ball. I'm a perfectionist, so it's not good enough for me. Our quality on Saturday was less than it could have been. I didn't want to mess with the recommended settings for the first outing. We downscaled to 720p and had it running at a fraction of the bitrate I would normally use. It can get even better. Because we can add more cameras at will, instead of being stuck with the one pixellot box, I'm looking at setting up IP cameras like the ones at Raith. Thought they were really good additions to the stream.

I actually would really like to see Queen of the South complete the fairy tale bottom to promotion season, after we beat you on Saturday of course. You can spare the points now lads, right?!

I for one applaud this effort from Arbroath. Holding out an olive branch to Hearts is demeaning work but someone has to do it for normality to return to the SPFL.

They changed the English Premiership to the EPL because it was better for their branding when we went to Scottish Premiership.

If you were to be promoted, the SPFL will produce highlights for free on your behalf. Motherwell add their goal highlights to youtube though so I feel like even if there is some stipulation on what you upload I don't think this is true.

The deal is a minimum of two televised games at home. Last year we got Dundee Utd twice at home. This year Dundee twice, which to be fair, we're two of the highest chances of both teams to score in Europe so I expect it to be box office.

Pixellot have finally got their coffin fitted out. Although going to attempt to stream to their platform too so there's a backup just in case.
