  1. Hasn't snowed for a few hours. However there was no library staff in today (I assume because of the weather) so I could not take out any short loan books for my Geography essay I hit an old jakey with a snowball today, right in the back of the head. He was drinking wine out of a thermos flask at the time.
  2. I rolled out of bed at 11am to be greeted by snow. Looks like a couples of inches max. at the moment, although it is snowing.
  3. Aye there is on the ground but none flying through the air and gently landing on my window whilst giving me the impression that I am in the siege of Leningrad but without the starvation and shelling from the Nazis.
  4. I'm sorry I don't speak Gaelic

  5. Your avatar is top notch. Ted is an underrated Scrubs character.
  6. I look forward to the snow, and pelting old man jakey who chucked a snowball at me today
  7. We have the Strathclyde Fox on the Strathclyde (funnily enough) campus There are two of them but it's just kept to the singular (don't ask me why, I don't make the rules). It seems quite friendly towards humans, which is probably because it gets to eat leftover pizza slices.
  8. Very, very frightening? No snow in Glasgow as of yet.
  9. Aye Barry Scott is who I mean. Although that tribute act could well be a good money-making idea.
  10. Cheers for the info. I will definitely have a look at Beevor's book first. I may have a book at Erickson's book after, although I might have a flick through it first to see how heavy-going it is.
  11. I have some interest in the Second World War, particularly the Eastern Front. I was wondering if anyone had read Anthony Beevor's "Stalingrad"? If so, would you recommend it?
  12. I feel like I'm starring in "Scott of the Antarctic".
  13. No I'm on the main campus. The snow is now hammering down (well it would be if it wasn't so light and fluffy).
  14. I did over at the Strathclyde campus. Snow seems to have stopped now
  15. FUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGG SSSSSSSSSSSSNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. I've never been to East Kilbride but on the basis of the two stunners that were in my Politics tutorials, it seems like a good place. Still not even the sight of a snowflake in Glasgow.
  17. Handed in my History essay today. I feel like it could be decent despite being rushed and done when I was more asleep than awake. Also had my last ever Politics tutorial of this semester. Fridays now end at mid-day for the next couple of weeks Right I have a general question for anyone that needed to do 4 subjects in their 1st semester, what do I do after the holidays? I'm only doing Geography until Christmas.
  18. Snowwatch Day 2: Still no snow. My brother tells me that there is a bit of snow in Inverness, which forces me to ask' "Did you get a day off school then?". "No" he replies. Well clearly it's not real snow if you aren't getting a day if school.
  19. Fucking deadlines. I was under the impression that my Politics essay was in for tomorrow - so I've done it and it is ready to be handed in. Unfortunately this is not the case, rather it is my History essay that is in for tomorrow. I had the dates written down so I must have copied them down wrong (I'm a fucking idiot). In a vain attempt to get all my essays done before Sunday (I actually want to go to this final now County have a new manager) I'm pulling an all-nighter to get it done. Also have a Geography essay for Monday. I have tried for the past month to get books for the essay, to no avail. c***s don't put them back in on time or just seem to keep them for a while past the date they need to be back in for
  20. No snow in Glasgow. I'm all for a bit of snow, just as long as I can get home for Christmas and get to the football without it being postponed.
  21. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4TS-SjHSl8 I'm probably going to burn in hell for laughing at that.
  22. His voice, by his own admission, wasn't as good then as it has been since "Don't Believe The Truth". The new song isn't great lyrically but it has a nice feel to it - I'm thinking 60s/70s ish.
  23. Billy Joel - Piano Man A fantastic tune.
