  1. Edinburgh derby is on the 9th April, so it looks as though that isn’t being shown on tv for a change. Only ourselves to blame to be fair, usually a terrible spectacle.
  2. You’re right I probably am being unfair on Ross there. Mathie getting punted soon after the transfer window does suggest he was at fault.
  3. I know nothing about this boy but I’m happy Maloney has immediately identified we’re short at centre half, Ross did nothing about it for 2 years.
  4. @Kima Greggs I’d like to give this a bash as well. Morikawa - Captain Spieth Horschel Cam Smith Fitzpatrick Perez Scheffler, Munoz, Zalatoris Rose, Westwood, Min Woo Lee
  5. We’re signing a a number 9 version of Scott Allan lads.
  6. He’s 29 in a few months and he’s not the type of player that will be able to play at his peak into his mid thirties. I think a move to double or triple his wages must be in his thoughts. I wouldn’t grudge him a move either, he’s been a tremendous servant.
  7. According to the record a 500k bid for Boyle, from Saudi Arabia, has been knocked back…... A travel vlog of Martin Boyle in Saudi Arabia would be some watch. Although I don’t see him moving to the Middle East I’m concerned this is the start of a number of bids for him during January. After his comments about Ross leaving I wouldn’t be surprised if his agent is drumming up interest.
  8. I think most of the comments on this thread are fair, it wasn’t much of a spectacle. Porteous and Hanlon had good games but Aberdeen’s build up was too slow which suited them. Both are at their best with the game in front of them but struggle with being turned and picking up runners in behind - see Celtics goals on Sunday. I know Newell was out but it was encouraging that Maloney selected Allan to start. I’m hoping he’ll be drawn towards creative, technical players because the more industrious players we have just now have been dull to watch. I also hope Gogic gets punted at the earliest opportunity, his lack of any technical ability whatsoever never ceases to amaze me. Thw first thing Maloney need to do at training is drill crosses into Nisbet so he can practice heading, f**k me he is dreadful at it.
  9. The carry on with Morelos wasn’t a good look if I’m honest. He clearly tries to wind Morelos up and get him carded but he needs to be smarter about it. As Leith Green says he only really seems to have an issue with Rangers, hard to blame him too. He’s had 12 bookings and 1 red in the last 60 games (according to soccerbase). That’s not a bad disciplinary record for a centre half. I think he improved quite a bit last season as a player, maybe not kicked on so much this season but neither have the rest of the team. He is only 22, he’s 3 years younger than Souttar and Liam Gordon and 2 years younger than Jason Kerr. Those players a benchmark for where he could potentially be, he still has time but he does need start improving his positioning and decision making now.
  10. I haven’t had the chance to go yet but the Thai on Cockburn street is meant to be quality. Think it’s called Kruaha Kuhn Mae Thai. Ironically enough, I’m going for a few pints and a curry on Saturday afternoon rather than the game itself.
  11. I’m not sure if I’m being wooshed here but the irony of a rangers fan accusing another fanbase of being angry and strange is beyond comprehension.
  12. Porteous in a nutshell last night. Really good performance from him for 85 minutes, I was getting ready to blast that smug face pic of him all over the match thread and then he dangles the leg out in front of Kent. He really needs to learn to cut out the silly mistakes, i get it was soft and there was probably not enough contact for Kent to go down but he can’t give referees a decision to make. He reminds me of Ambrose, people that watch Hibs games every week can see what he brings to the team and for the most part is a strong defender. However, there’s always that potential for a mistake in him and his blooper reel is getting longer. I think he’d really benefit from playing alongside an experienced organiser and leader to keep him right, I don’t see Hanlon being that player.
  13. I’d put good money that come the winter break we’ll be in a relegation fight.
  14. Shite pricing a week before Christmas aside, Celtic are literally being handed an advantage before a balls kicked with that split.
  15. I know this has been posted numerous times but I would really hate for a single person from the p&b collective to miss this x
