Hearts at home to Celtic that Saturday so we had to move it anyway. Friday night is miles better than the Sunday at 3 and should be a good crowd at those prices

Assuming the SFA will have one the first Scotland game, the Ukraine game ending up being pushed back to this month will have saved them from the spectacle of having a minutes silence for the queen before a weekend evening kick off against Ireland.

To be fair if he is capable of winning a header and holding the ball up he’s an improvement on Doidge. You’d imagine Youan, McKirdy and Boyle will be the first pick front 3 so he just needs to be useful enough as an option from the bench.

If he manages to f**k the McKirdy signing up then that’s surely the end for Kensell

James McCarthy is a great fit for us based on the last year. May as well have a wheelchair ready for him when he arrives at the training ground. Would be nice if we could sign a player that wasn’t either a child or a cripple.

Fletcher wouldn’t have come to Hibs to possibly get off the bench for 20 minutes some weeks. He would never have started in a Johnson team and we’ll only use a striker like that if we’re chasing a game late on and going a bit longer.

He’ll be strolling through games based on what I’ve seen. I’m surprised he’s not involved with us as a squad player this season

I can’t believe Van Bronkhorst actually thinks they’d get to the groups of the Champions League with McLaughlin as number 1.

If they’re desperate to get him off the wage bill it’s not unthinkable that he ends up back at Hibs and we just effectively write off the rest of the instalments they have to pay us. If you were in for him you’d think they’d be looking for at least the money they’ll still owe to us which prices you out. I still can’t believe there wouldn’t be a couple of Championship sides down south interested but none of them seemed to be when they could’ve had him for 500k a year ago so not sure they would be paying 3x that now.

Really? I honestly don’t think he’d improve our starting 11. Can’t beat a man and his end product is poor. Got a bit of pace but also has an injury record that rivals Magennis’.

The thing that worries me around away tickets for games like that this season is that we seem to have just decided that we’ll not bother announcing when tickets go on sale until about half an hour before. Nearly got caught out for the Bonnyrigg game with that. They’ve also done away with the away tickets section on the website so you end up having to scroll through the twitter account to find out the info half the time.

She scrapped them because she decided to give points for things like paying in to HSL and then blamed the inevitable backlash from people that went to games. Leeann done a lot of good in her early years but fan engagement was pretty much non existent from that point on and she didn’t seem to care. Loyalty points, sticking the singing section away in the corner and not engaging with them after that, and shutting behind the goals for some NHS thing that never happened were all very disappointing. She probably should’ve left a year or so before she did in the end. Bringing it back to Ron, his big mistake when Leeann left was giving a lot of the extra responsibility to Mathie instead of getting a Kensell type in straight away. That led to the disaster of a transfer window last summer

He seems to have a decent pedigree, played in the top flight in Uruguay the last 2 years and has played in the Copa Libertadores as well. With us having Marshall, Hanlon, Stevenson, Cabraja and Cadden our defence has some decent experience so I’d not be against this being our cb signing. It’s midfield forward where we’re still lacking a bit of experience imo.

All whilst they try and claim that they aren’t interested in Hibs at all but we’re still hurting from a game that meant absolutely nothing to anyone connected to Hibs merely 8 days later.

Do you genuinely believe we’re going to get relegated? Personally I think that’s mental. January was poor but wasn’t helped by injuries and the poor manager choice and despite all of that we were nowhere near getting relegated last season. IMO we’re about 3 signings away from having a really good squad, obviously that changes if Porto or Doig leave.

Ireland are terrible, anything other than 9 points this month is very poor

4 at the back with Jasper and Hauge playing as wingers. Tbh I’d have let Gray away with pretty much anything other than what he’s been doing which is picking a Maloney team but more defensive. Only an idiot would think the 11 that’s out tonight or the one on Saturday were acceptable
