  1. I see there’s no 50/50 split and the cheapest tickets are £35. Lovely
  2. Think that’s harsh, last season was always going to be a bit of a right off for him due to there being nowhere other than first team games to get any game time at all. It’s actually probably a good thing that it’s a completely different injury and once he’s back from this if he can stay injury free I think we’ll be struggling to keep him come next January. People decided Cadden was a write off as well in the summer because he was unlucky to pick up 2 different injuries close together. Hopefully Tait can come in and hit the ground running in January so we’re not relying on Magennis straight away
  3. I read an article somewhere recently that said docking loads of cruise ships and basically using them as hotels is one of the ways they’re getting around the lack of hotel rooms for the tournament. It also mentioned something else touched on in this thread that was the UAE are going to try and encourage people to stay there and presumably it would be Emirates will put on flights to Qatar for fans.
  4. I’d rather have the semi at Hampden and be missing a couple of players than ending up away to Russia or something like that with a full squad
  5. We clearly don’t have anything close to 11 senior players and the youth players that aren’t away on loan are all under 18. I read somewhere earlier that sportsound last night were saying you need 10 over 18s in the squad so we can’t have that available. The irony is is that if we’d been able to just shut down the training ground until Wednesday instead of trying to cobble a team together for tomorrow night we’d probably have been fine for the Livi game.
  6. Hibs did try and say this was going to happen. Whoever forced an attempt at playing it tomorrow night was at it.
  7. Nope, the game would be moved again. Probably to the last Wednesday of the month after our League Cup semi. Our big problem will be that a lot of our youth players that aren’t in the under 18s are away on loan so I don’t think we’ve got much to call on beyond the 18 we’ve had in recent squads.
  8. They only have 43 games so even if they used them all which they didn’t last season then there’s always going to be a good few weeks where they show nothing. The TV deal isn’t great but the only other option was BT who were offering a lot less to show 20+ more games. The spfl would’ve been crucified if they’d taken that.
  9. Could tell at the game it was never a penalty, Beaton had a shocker all round yesterday. However after watching the highlights the Nisbet claim in the first half looks pretty clear cut to me - gets a touch on the ball first and Clark brings him down. So maybe not quite the great injustice being suggested after all. Massive 3 points for us with us playing Rangers, Aberdeen and Celtic next month
  10. If you’ve missed out I’d imagine there will be a few sections of the west that have been held back in the usual away end. Think it’s the end of the month that Uefa will give a final decision on away fans for next month’s games but then even assuming away fans are allowed Israel won’t be bringing many so there’s probably a couple of thousand that’ll become available closer to the time
  11. We’ve done pretty well I think. Assuming Wood is a better 3rd choice option than Daz (from what I’ve read he will be) we’ve done enough with the defence imo. Cadden is a solid back up at rb and McGinn will pick up again after his slow start this season. Doyle-Hayes and Magennis getting fit have improved us in midfield massively and Mackay and Bradley look decent impact players out wide. Mueller will come in January and play every week out wide so there’s not much need for another wide player. Could do with an extra body up top and if we manage that it’s been a good window. I’d never have expected us to keep the 4 guys linked with moves and if we get Nisbet and Porto on new deals soon we’re in good shape for the season
  12. Celtic won’t pay the fee, Nisbet’s agent will kick up a fuss in the papers again and he’ll be back in the 11 for the game at Tynie in September. Either that or a McGinn situation where a championship team pay what we want.
  13. It happened when we played at Killie a few years ago, think the floodlights went out twice, think the first time was at HT. Got the game finished on the day in the end though. We also had a game at Motherwell abandoned for the floodlights going out about 10 years ago.
  14. It’s all linked to the uefa account which I’m sure you need to input your passport details on. I think there will be checks at the stadium on this
  15. One thing to remember for the Hampden games as well is that Croatia and the Czechs will have about 1500/1600 tickets to shift, you’d imagine a fair chunk of those will be handed back to uefa and end up back on sale to the public
  16. No under 18s either so that will have an effect too. Probably more so for Wembley than the games at Hampden
  17. Yet Wembley, which is hosting it’s first game at the Euros a day before Hampden can have fans for the FA Cup final on the same day as this game. Amazingly this thing about Uefa taking control of the stadium seems not to apply there. The total acceptance of the SFA saying this without anyone questioning it is crazy
  18. Sarwar was decent in the first two but had a bit of a nightmare tonight. The rest were much of the same as the other debates, probably Sturgeon’s best showing tonight of the 3. I’m not sure how much (if any) these debates matter though. It is quite fun to have a wee laugh at them all arguing tbf
  19. Perez going on about making games shorter already alongside a few other bizarre comments this evening. This is going to be a funny watch, especially if the others have left him in charge
  20. They were actually asked to be one of the 3 other clubs, which shows they’re already struggling for interest
  21. Porto next to announce they’ve rejected it. Not sure this is going to be the killer for the rest as some seem to think
  22. The decision at our disallowed goal is baffling. Absolutely nothing in it at all
  23. It's 48 Premiership games plus up to 6 from the play-offs. It'll be interesting to see how many play-off games they show - BT rarely showed the semis, and only showed the quarters once, which was when Rangers were in it. I’m pretty sure the only time BT didn’t show the semis was the first year when they only had the final on. The following year they showed all the rounds( Rangers in the quarters), then after that they showed both the semis and final. Hopefully Sky will do the same
