Just to clarify, Clydebank FC doesnt have a chairman. You’re entirely wrong. But also Clydebanks fans voted to join the EOSL and havent voted for any alternative. Im quite alarmed by the lack of any development and don’t particularly have any faith in the SJFA being able to do anything in time for next season. Id rather join the EOSL myself.

Every single accepted model of decision making in the business/public sector world has some form of ‘re-evaluation in light of new information’ type part, this is because its normal and natural to be able to change your mind. Huge country, limited number of major league professional teams. The colleges represent the areas/states and its quite strong in places with no pro sports teams like Nebraska, Austin etc. My team UCF target the locals well, plus they have a huge alumni locally too. The college games are quite a good day/night out, tailgating, concerts etc, they sell it as an overall experience and most of them are family friendly. There are certain aspects of it we could learn from and others that just wouldnt catch on over here.

Yeh apparently the £60 seats are actually good value etc and some may be the vip padded types. We’ve set our limit at trying for the £60 tickets and if we dont get them we’ll spend the money we would spend going to london etc and just go to new york at some point. When you factor in the cost of everything there isnt a huge difference in cost going to a mets game in new york (if you get a decent deal, so in the virgin/ba sales maybe) and flying to london and paying £150 for tickets each.

Nah there has to be a cut off somewhere and just because the juniors want to join the pyramid doesnt mean they have to get everything their own way. The logic behind the tay boundary is pretty solid, its a decent reference point and splits the country in two along pretty fair lines. Can’t have the highland league representing 1/5th of the countries population and think parity with a league representing 4/5ths of the population is reasonable in terms of promotion. Then you compare the number of clubs eligible for LL and HL and it reinforces it. Having the tayside clubs in the HL redresses the balance and makes the pyramid fairer. The clubs might not be happy at losing larger followed clubs as visitors but thems the breaks.

I agree with pipe dreamer with the exception of the tayside clubs being in the LL catchment, no way should the highland league get parity with the LL unless they have the tayside clubs and north juniors involved. The Tay line for HL/LL definitely has to remain.

Agreed. The boys actions are absolutely shite, scum bag behaviour but he appears to be a product of his environment. Hopefully the deter strategy gets involved and this boy is helped to become a decent member of society. What is also scumbag behaviour is the lynch mob mentality of people on social media seeking to destroy this boys life for basically being an arsehole as a boy, do they think by posting all his personal details they’ll make the situation better? Madness. The wee refugee guy has obviously been through enough already, but dont see why everyone does a ‘go fund me’ for every victim. Id suggest just trying to encourage a world where people dont act like c***s is an infinitely better way to go.
