  1. Zzzzzzzzzzzz If you think the Daily Record is in the business of doing Celtic favours you are sadly mistaken.
  2. Fair enough. Each to their own. You would certainly be in the minority amongst Celtic fans I know in that case. I even had one Tim tell me they'd rather do 10IAR than win the Champions League. Have to say I thought that was rather ridiculous but there ye go.
  3. I wouldn't expect you to understand. You do not have a rivalry like we have with the dead club(and their zombie reincarnation) and your team has no chance of ever rewriting the history books. Winning 10 in a row has never been done before in this country and it is a huge fucking deal to Celtic fans. Trivialise it or make it about self entitlement if you want. But make no mistake, it matters.
  4. Well I've had a night to sleep on it and I am still really pissed off about what happened last night. At least it made my day at work pass quicker as all that was going through my mind was what a complete clusterfuck last night was. Only Ryan Christie and James Forrest deserve any credit for what they did last night. All three levels(board, manager and players) have to take their share of the blame for us going out to Cluj. They were a really average and ageing side, and to go out to them is not acceptable. Had we beaten them it would only have been a stay of execution anyway as I doubt we would have beaten Slavia Prague. God, that sounds depressing to say. My bigger worry is that once the disappointment of no more Champions League begins to clear, we will be faced with the harsh reality that 10 in a row is seriously in jeopardy as things stand. 9 in a row is in jeopardy as things stand! I am forecasting, as of this moment, that Celtic will lose at Ibrox in three weeks time unless something changes. The Sevconians are improving, and while I still don't believe they are anything to write home about, we are rapidly back peddling to somewhere near their level. Which makes losing the league an actual possibility. It's a bit frightening, truth be told. The last couple of seasons I have never taken them seriously as a threat. I always felt secure deep down that we were going to come out on top in the end. Watching this Celtic team and looking at the players we have, and the manager we have, my confidence has subsided significantly. Our goalkeeper and our defence is highly suspect when put under pressure and I do not trust our manager to get his tactics right when it matters most. It pisses me off having to feel this way and write all this negative stuff because not that long ago we were so far ahead of Sevco that they couldn't even see our tail lights. I will simply finish with the thought that if the worst happens and 9 in a row is blown, the Celtic board better be prepared for what is coming their way. It will not be pretty.
  5. We'll play(and lose to) them soon enough. Fucking dreading September 1st.
  6. Garbage. But that's what you get when you play it cheap when hiring a manager and signing players. The one player we did splash out on is a £7million defender who is sat on the bench while we ship four goals at home in one of the biggest games of our season. Fucking shambles all round.
  7. Dreadful performance. There is so much inexperience in this team and it is showing. Grow a set or go out. It's that simple.
  8. Have they? I'm concerned by his apparent inability to defend more than I am by his name. Guess it must just be me.
  9. Labour finally came up with a cracking idea for a policy - putting a stop to the "Glorious Twelfth". In true Labour style they then proceeded to cock it up by choosing the wrong "Glorious Twelfth".
  10. So Caroline Lucas wants an all women cabinet to try and stop Brexit. Women "are less tribal" apparently. What a load of fucking shite. I can imagine the outcry if a bloke made the same suggestion in reverse.
  11. It's depressing the number of ballbag Celtic fans on Facebook who are slagging him and coming out with utter pish like 'legend status lost' and 'no better than Rodgers'. Absolute clowns these people. Tierney is Celtic daft and has knocked his pan in for the club since the first moment he appeared in the first team. Yeah it would have been nice if he had stayed for 10IAR(if it happens) but I absolutely do not grudge the boy his move. Arsenal are a massive club so it's not as though he has just pissed off for the money, although I'm sure the large bump in wages will be nice for him as well. I hope he does really well down there and I believe he will. He's shown on numerous occasions that he has what it takes to play at that level.
  12. Well that was just about what I expected. I think it is clear to see that we have stepped up from playing diddies to playing teams that can cause us problems. I fancy we will advance past Cluj now but I am seriously concerned about Slavia Prague in the next round. The defensive alarm bells were once again ringing tonight. Set pieces weren't defended well, crosses into the box weren't defended well, and Bolingoli is an absolute liability defensively. I get frustrated sometimes when I see fans watch a new player have a couple of bad games and jump straight to 'get him tae f' mode, but I can feel myself already having those thoughts about Bolingoli. Opposing teams are really going to target him as a weak spot I feel. Another left back must be signed and soon. In other news, very sad to see KT leave but can't grudge him his move. He'll do well down there once he gets himself properly fit. Thanks for everything, KT. You've been an absolute trooper.
  13. The Cowboys won't be letting Zeke walk. Their offense runs through him and they know that.
  14. I think I am right in saying that in the last General Election there was a slight majority in favour of the SNP in Shetland but because Orkney voted strongly for the Lib Dems, the Lib Dems held on to the seat. Given that this is specifically a Shetland based vote, yeah, the SNP will be fancying their chances of nicking it. Old habits die hard though and this seat has been orange for a long, long time.
  15. Kilbowie Park made a lasting impression on me when I first started going to matches. It had that weird social club thing in one corner. The ball would occasionally rattle the windaes. Technically it was one of the few 'all seater' stadiums in Scotland at the time, although that makes it sound more grandiose than it was.
  16. We have an interesting by-election coming up shortly. Both the Lib Dems and the SNP are throwing everything at it. Even had John Swinney at the door the other day, that's the first time our door has been chapped on by a politician in donkey's years. I will be on holiday at the time of the vote but likely wouldn't have voted anyway. It's a two horse race between the two already mentioned parties and you couldn't pay me to vote for either of them at this point in time.
  17. When I saw the list of options of who Aberdeen could draw in the next round I thought Larnaca or Gent was the best draw they could get. Still won't be easy mind. Plus they have to navigate their way past Rijeka first. Would be good to see Celtic and Aberdeen both reach the group stage of their respective competitions.
  18. I have a few that I like. Not sure I could definitively pick one over the others. Justin Tucker - Best kicker ever. DeAndre Hopkins - AB and OBJ get all the hype but this guy is quietly the best receiver in football. Philip Rivers - Just love his want to win. Khalil Mack - Absolute game wrecker.
  19. Pleased to see this result. Hopefully the Wee Rovers can get a few more early wins on the board and avoid scrapping around at the foot of the table like they did last season.
  20. A fine result for Aberdeen last night. Well done. Tough task in the next round though.
  21. I can see Cluj scoring in Glasgow so yeah an away goal or two in Romania could be vital.
