  1. Great Saturday, Bairns dish out a scudding and Accies shit the bed, beautiful
  2. Great news getting Coll signed up to a longer contract and hopefully others follow. Wonder how this sits with the rumours of part time football if we don’t go up
  3. I think as well as cancelling games for frost/water logged etc referees should also be encouraged to cancel if the pitch is a fucking midden. If they feel it’s not up to a decent standard of game being played on it then the game should be off. They are cheating the fans who pay to attend these games and risking injury to players.
  4. My best day has to be Ibrox 1994, beating one of the ugly sisters at their own patch and watching their fans leave with twelve minutes to go was the best. Plus the scenes when wee Ritchie scored the second are some of the best I’ve ever been involved in. The above Hearts game would probably be up there with my best Brockville memories. I did love the 4-3 Thistle game also though.
  5. I must admit I’m getting a bit worried now, with Brad, Jordan and Ola away and Miller, Morrison and Agyeman off to Hamilton before the window shuts surely we must be looking to bring others in
  6. I don’t really see the last 2 games as us having a so called wobble. We drew at Edinburgh because the manager made an absolute arse of team selection, once he righted this we won the second half 2 nil. That on Saturday, we tried to play our normal football game on a cow field and didn’t adapt our game or tactics to counter it. If we lose on Saturday then I might buy into the wobble theory but I’m not yet.
  7. Can’t see us bringing anyone else in, a keeper would be good but don’t think it’ll happen.
  8. Hope he does well for you and helps you stay up, strange signing by McGlynn as Jordan never really suited the lone striker way we play. He always tried though when he did get his chance and the fans appreciated that.
  9. Looking at Saturday and how we played previously at Stirling, it seems a lot of our players aren’t used to grass pitches. Maybe the week before we go to Forthbank the next time the management team should hire a council pitch to train on.
  10. What got me was the interview on FFC TV with Ross McIver and you could see players/staff walking across the pitch after the game, It looked absolutely horrendous. I know in Scotland top flight there isn’t a lot of love for artificial surfaces but ours is a good one and certainly better than some of the grass pitches out there.
  11. Both our keepers are young and young keepers are prone to the odd mistake, it’s the nature of the beast. I was surprised in the summer that McGlynn didn’t try to get a more experienced keeper in. On the flip side they are both capable of brilliant saves and for me Longs distribution is better. It’s a difficult conundrum for McGlynn to solve. I don’t however think chopping and changing them all the time does any good for confidence.
  12. I’m not happy to be out the cup due to the financial implications but after sleeping on this it’s not panic time. The league form has been brilliant and we are still unbeaten in L1, go to Alloa next week, play the football we know we can and we should be fine. John and the team deserve our backing and we have to keep getting behind them COYB.
  13. See a couple of roasters from other clubs have raised their heads, no where to be seen when we were on a 26 game unbeaten run. Just ignore the sad b*****ds.
  14. I can’t help but think that fucking about with a winning, settled team last week has brought a lot of this on.
  15. Any slight niggles or knocks for anyone tomorrow or the game against TNS and I wouldn’t be risking them. Yeah a cup run might bring in some much needed dosh but getting promoted is our main goal this season.
  16. That must be like nipping for a quick slash whilst awaiting the birth of your first child and hearing the baby cry as you walk back towards the delivery suite
  17. We’ve been in both the 11 and the Brockville Lounge and the service in both has been really good. There is usually only two of us and we are a pair of greedy b@stards when it comes to the beer. We usually manage 4/5 pints before and 3 after. The young laddies and lassies serving are excellent at keeping the beers coming but we make sure we always give them a decent wee tip.
  18. We do hospitality 3/4 times a year, novices I know compared to Ross but I think it’s good value for the £90. Food is always decent, good atmosphere, get to hear the stories of ex players, good seat in the main stand and we normally manage about 8 pints. I think it’s well worth the money. The massive unused area in the Main Stand where they held the Ray McKinnon meeting could be used if we went up and needed more capacity. Does it belong to us or would we need to pay the council.
  19. I think McGlynn should threaten the players with this. Keep the undefeated run going or we’ll sell you to Hamilton, that should ensure no slip ups like Saturday.
  20. Who do we play up front on Saturday if McIver isn’t fit. For me it has to be Oliver as Shanley is cup tied and Allan can’t play the lone striker. Enough goals in Morrison, Miller, Nesbitt etc to get us through. Back to our normal formation and get things done. If anyone is touch and go injury wise then rest them and get our regular 11 fit for Alloa as that is the more important game for me.
  21. I’m 57 and I doubt I’ll see it again in my lifetime.
  22. 26 games unbeaten is quite a feat, something you will probably never see your side do. The celebrations were well justified for me.
