I have the feeling that Catalan independence has lost a bit of support in the youth. I am sceptical that this tick tick demographics thats said about Scottish independence is certain. Things change, new generations look at the ones before them and quite often find those topics outdated/boring irrelevant to them. Also if theres no progress in independence then they may think why should they invest their time in it.

It probably makes sense for Starmer and Labour to have made that statement on Brexit. Rejoining wasnt going to happen in the short term so getting on with it and making "peace" with the EU and improving where possible the current fiasco is in the short term achievable and most likely to get support or at least not take away any support they need to win a GE.

I think now is a time when it can be won with a good campaign, it cant be taken for granted that the indy vote will grow with time and demographics. Though it may be the case that it does. The young generations coming up in future may look on the indy topic as boring by then if nothing has happened and all they hear are the clowns on either side speaking for years on it.

The EU issue, while a valid reason for another referendum. Its no short term objective. First you would need another referendum to decide whether to apply to join/rejoin then probably wait forever for the EU to make a decision how that would happen. but we dont need it to be promised as happening soon, the main thing is after a yes vote we get to decide if we want to join or not however long that takes. If the Norway option is quicker and possible its another option that could be part of any vote

I havent had seen any delays at passport control travelling from UK to EU (Scotland and England) since brexit happened. Thats just what I have experienced though, so not saying there arent issues. I was expecting some delays though so its a nice surprise that it didnt happen. As there were delays at security in England/EU and at baggage pickup in Scotland

Thats a good question and clealry the step up we will need, its not certain and I think it will be tough for us in champions league . I hope the draw is kind to us. It usually isnt though. Its a big plus that under Postecoglu this season we dont have the qulaifyers and the manager can prepare properly for season. I think he is the type of manager who will be able to improve the players a lot in pre-season training as to how they should play what runs they make. That for me will make a big difference. It felt like last season we were quite often just that half second out with runs, passes and shots at times due to the pace we played at, i think this season im hoping that half second is gone.
