  1. I remember Clyde got a player from Dundee United. Craig Brown said Jim McLean didn’t use him, as all he did was score goals…Guess it’s down to how many goals you score.
  2. Maybe they’ll admit they got it wrong in a few months time. That’s ok isn’t it?
  3. I sit near the dug-outs and DM seemed quite different yesterday. Normally, he’s quite jovial and up for a bit of friendly banter with opposition fans. Yesterday, he was moaning at the players from the off, with Shinnie, Nouble and a few others receiving pelters for much of the game. Maybe the pressure is getting to him, understandably, but he doesn’t seem to be enjoying his football as he used to. Livi didn’t create much at all, but they didn’t seem to be having a real go until it was too late. Superb save from Zach to prevent a late equaliser, but I was quite happy that Stephen Kelly was left sitting on the bench for almost the whole game. Livi badly need his creativity, so Davie needs to get him in the starting eleven.
  4. I think that’s a great idea, as Clyde are becoming more irrelevant with every game they play. Enjoy the rest of your season
  5. John McHugh, Tommy McCulloch, Harry Hood, Stevie Archibald, Joe Ward, Willie McVie, Danny McGrain, Brian Ahern, Gerry McCabe, Pat Nevin, Craig Bryson, Ian Spittal, Mark McLaughlin, Craig Bryson…
  6. Sad day when the fans are debating which members of the current squad are the worst they have ever seen. Maybe better to reminisce about the best Clyde players you have seen?
  7. Well Pat Nevin disagrees; he “bought him for Motherwell” and says he’s the nicest guy you’ll ever meet.
  8. I thought McCall did well in his post-match comments, in striking a balance between telling it how it is, and not throwing all of the players under the bus. For the foreseeable, he has to get eleven of these guys to play for him. It’s obviously key not to lose cheap goals, so finding a half-decent keeper will be a priority. On a good day, depending on confidence levels(?), some of these guys are capable of decent performances at this level. Cup game will be tough though, as Jeanfield look decent and will be well up for the occasion.
  9. Surely you have an outfield player who is a better keeper than Leighfield.
  10. Genuine question: will the club go through a recruitment process, or will Roy simply appoint/anoint the successor?
  11. This is very true. Some fans might think Guardiola would not be suitable for the Clyde job as he hasn’t managed in the fourth tier in Scotland. Whilst Pep might find it difficult to adjust to not having world class players at his disposal, I think he would be able to get Clyde up the leagues. As will McCall, given time and decent resources.
  12. As others have said, not our best performance of the season, but still picked up a point against a Hibs team we might have lost to last season. Uncharacteristic errors by Gogic and Taylor, but Hibs had players in the right areas of the pitch to exploit them. In other games we might have been able to rescue those situations. Credit to Zak for saving what looked like a certain second Hibs goal that would have been disastrous for us. And yes, Marshall is a pain in the ass. As usual though, Karma won the day. Onto Dens, a return to our recent form - starting brightly would help - and three points could be there for the taking. Trevor who?
  13. Was good to hear Theo Snelders on Radio Scotland this am. One of my favourite ever keepers, and I enjoyed going to see him thwart the OF when the Dons were in town.
  14. Maybe I’m being too critical of Marshall, but I didn’t think his positioning was great when Miovski was bearing down on goal. He was too near his front post and made it easy for Miovski to slot it in the other side.
  15. Watching the Scottish Cup game, I noticed that Lyon seemed incapable of running in a straight line without falling over. He looked like a toddler whose legs were going too fast for his wee brain. Says a lot that he was captain.
  16. Delighted to see Stephen back at the club. Fantastic role model for our youngsters, great ambassador for everything the club is doing and I am sure he will be a top coach too.
  17. I just hope the last Rovers manager is not heading to Perth. Barton’s last visit north of the border was short, but still too long for my liking.
  18. Any update on when the decision on Crownpoint will be announced?
