  1. Everybody gets injuries though, it’s how you deal with them. We currently have only one fit centre back and our (almost) marquee summer signing in Hamilton is out and I don’t think has been totally 100% all season. Our other natural centre forward in Gullan has also been intermittently out or struggling. Connolly was arguably our best player last season and has been out until just now. Oh and our club captain hasn’t played a game of football in well over 12 months.
  2. Perhaps not “struggling” as such, but against the historic precedent and looking at your squad it could be argued you are underperforming. Worth noting that usually the team coming up from League One traditionally starts very strongly and then drops off a bit as teams figure them out, or they just lose some momentum. That doesn’t seem the case for you this season.
  3. Interesting to see you struggling. Most teams promoted from League One as champions tend to come up all guns blazing. Indeed, I think almost always they make top 4 the season after winning League One. Is it the players? The manager? Or has the quality of League One maybe dropped off a bit? Montrose are a fairly solid League One side but there looked to be a fairly large gulf in quality between us when we played them the other week.
  4. Hopefully Pars can bring a good crowd through for this one, get a decent atmosphere going.
  5. Do you generally get a free one somewhere? Not keen on paying your club money.
  6. There will be Arbroath fans within that red warning area, can’t be asking them to travel. State of the pitch an irrelevance with falling trees and flooded roads.
  7. Arbroath clearly desperate for this to be on. Perfect hammer throwing weather.
  8. Covid season is called a week later with Falkirk having won against Montrose at home and Rovers having lost up at Peterhead. Two points clear, Ray McKinnon’s Falkirk return to the Championship at the first time of asking then proceed to sign David Goodwillie while Raith Rovers turn part time…
  9. Looks like trains are gubbed for this one. Hopefully Arbroath can get it called off early.
  10. Aye, McGlynn to overthink it, fanny about with the formation/team selection leading to predictable outcome.
  11. I had no idea he was eligible either. Glad he’s come to his senses. 6 months in Kirkcaldy clearly won him round. He’s going to have a good career, I’m sure of it. He was great for us. Old beyond his years.
  12. Connor O’Riordan has made the latest Scotland under 21 squad, along with Keiron Bowie. Had no idea he was eligible but I’ll take it.
  13. I basically agree with everything you say, but I think keeping Brown and Murray keeps the defence stronger than having Masson in there or Dick as a CB with McGill as a left back. McGill with Byrne and Stanton further up the park would probably be my preference. I feel McGill deserves a shot in his ‘natural’ position.
  14. For me, without Watson or Corr, I want to see us carry on with Brown-Murray as the centre back pairing. Stanton can drop deeper or we could even start McGill in midfield.
  15. Yeah, absolutely! I was sad that the Saturday Sport Show had to come to an end. I was a more than occasional guest and had some great fun doing it. Best of luck to Oh No No No No.
  16. Would be a great result which I’d take right now. Stops United gaining anything on us. Looks like, and really hope, there will be a very healthy crowd for this one. I’m already buzzing for it!
  17. There were a good few on here boasting about what they’d placed/odds they’d got on the handicap markets, Ayr -2/-3 etc. Get it up them.
  18. Good signing if he can stay fit. Should stroll through this level. Bit of a statement of intent from you guy as he was probably our highest earner and we won’t have let him go for free.
