A goalkeeper, two centre backs and possibly a left back and I think we’ll be pretty much there. Glad to see us in a good spot with squad building, maybe a lesson learned from our unpreparedness for the League Cup group stage last season.

With foodbanks in every town these days I struggle to accept that this is the best use of Government money, but there you go.

McGlynn DoF, Berra head coach?

I’ll be honest, I think MacDonald may be on the slide now, seemed to be picking up and playing through injuries more often and while not making many or any howlers he maybe wasn’t making the saves last season he would have before. He should still be as good as any other keeper in League One though.

You could have also tried “if he was let go by Livi he can’t be that good” or “I was hoping for Hendry, so this is a bit of a letdown”

Fanwave have been on our left sleeve all season.

Think McGlynn tried to sign Oliver for us a couple of times, he’s clearly a fan.

There’s no way we’ll be signing Hendry. He’ll not be short of offers from down south.

Toni looks like he is interim managing the team Denys Prychynenko plays for in Belgium.

Supposedly the word ‘apron’ used to be ‘napron’ but as things weren’t written down and people were illiterate hearing “a napron” was interpreted as “an apron” and over time ‘apron’ became the word it is today.

Berry looked like he might have been a bit of a prospect for us at one point, however we were very strong in midfield and then we went up to the Championship, he just wasn’t quite going to break through with us. He’s a lovely guy though, really hope he does well back in the SPFL with you.

Yeah, that’s why clubs aren’t scrambling around hiring data analysts and the bookies never use these stats in their algorithms etc. but please tell me again how the team I’ve watched for the majority of last season home and away is “miles worse” than the one I watched home and away the season before and don’t really deem much better or worse…

You know we actually had a better xG this season than last… really there’s not a lot between the two seasons overall, except McGlynn had a practical blank cheque.

Have no idea who we’d go for. McCabe would probably be one of the better names linked if Murray left.

I don’t really mind if he goes but to come in and say “MuRrAy MaDe YoU WoRsE!” is missing the point completely. McGlynn left us in a terrible state and the budget given to Murray that he could actually use was minimal, we were not a great prospect for anybody last summer. It would have been a bit of a task to have us better our points total from the season before. Murray’s done fine.
