Alba getting less votes than the BUP is a huge riddy. Disillusioned SNP voters seem to be going to either Labour or the Greens instead. The Lib Dems may as well give up!

The James McClean Sponsored Poppy Thread
CarrbridgeSaintee replied to thisGRAEME's topic in The General Nonsense Forum
I think cultures just change over time. People are increasingly spending more time in front of screens and don’t even carry cash to buy the poppies in the first place. I also think there’s an element of taking our security and safety for granted. In our busy lives, it doesn’t even occur to people to stop and think of the sacrifices those before us made. I very much doubt it’s because people are being turned off by OTT displays. People in general aren’t really bothered by that, although you’d be forgiven for thinking differently given the posts on here. -
Nicola Sturgeon Arrested, Peter Murrell Charged

Respect for being honest DTED, and I say that as a Unionist. A mate of mine is similar and reckons he was being ‘taken for a ride’ before he left. He seems demoralised and probably just won’t vote at future elections unless there’s a complete overhaul in the SNP. An activist/voter lost. -
Used to love them Wacky. The icing tasted tremendous.

I don’t think Craig said we did, although some Christians undoubtedly think that way. As for your other points, I’m leaning toward your way of thinking regarding the KCA, but will need to delve into it further before reaching a final conclusion.. if that’s even possible! -

Had a feeling it wouldn’t be long… It’s actually an excellent thread when sensible discussion breaks out. -

Seeing Regan burst through the curtain after the announcement from Salmond was like watching Hulk Hogan switch from WWF to WCW or Chris Jericho from WCW to WWE.. what a pop he got. She shouldn’t have a by election though, as no one else does. It’d be madness. Labour would possibly win it too, so it could be one less independence-minded MSP. -

I think that’s what Alba are promoting as ‘Scotland United’. No chance it’ll happen. -
Thought that was the Catman from Greenock at first.

Good points. I’m also scared that over time they draw fans away from the men’s game too. Can’t see existing fans ‘switching’, but future generations growing up may choose to follow the women's team over the men’s. I’ve often thought that the existence of junior and amateur leagues must negatively affect crowds too.

An amusing watch - AO seemed exasperated at times, which is something we rarely see! Good to see sound-logic-driven ChatGPT become a convert to the cause. -

Reasonable Faith's last podcast episode is an interesting one: Genetic Study Confirms Dr. Craig's Model | Podcast | Reasonable Faith It explains how the latest genetic study adds weight to Dr Craig's hypothesis that humanity did indeed grow from a single couple; the mytho-historical Adam and Eve. -

Thanks for posting. Tried to listen last night before bed, but I soon realised it requires a lot of concentration! Will give it a go later today. I've got a feeling I'll still be confused -

Interesting video and I agree with a lot of his points. He makes a fool of himself at 3:46 though. -
Good post. Do you think it’s all down to incompetence though? Or do you think there has been a guiding hand in the background; one which, to say the very least, doesn’t have the Independence movement’s best interests at heart?

In 2014, I remember noticing a race for celebrity endorsement from both sides. It’s a waste of time and can actually be counter productive IMO. Voters want authenticity.
