Totally agree with the posts about the commentators earlier. Matthews = best, Booker = shit and Cole should = manager.

About Booker though. He's the Lee Naylor* of commentating. Obviously shit but he has so much enthusiasm and never hides. Can't really give someone too much stick for not being talented at something.

I used to like Cole but I've gone off him since they decided to put him back to that sorta heel. Not quite committing to it. They had him as it a while back, just before they turned him full heel and you can tell that the full heel is so much better.

Lawler is just a joke of his former self, what a great commentator he used to be.

Booker is also a joke to his former self.

Considering they have Josh Matthews, Matt Striker and Joey Styles all on staff, they shouldn't be having this problem.

I think I might be the only person on here who doesn't like Christian, I really don't get what all the fuss is about him.

He was decent years ago but now he does nothing for me, he's also terrible heel!, no matter what he does the crowd will never turn on him big style.

CM Punk is about the only good thing going for WWE and now that's gone, it's very bland and boring yet I can't stop watching it week in week out!.

What about maybe turning Big Show heel again and pushing him up to the main event scene again, just to mix it up more than anything!.

I was doing my review for this show and lost it. Not that much got missed along the way. Colt Cabana vs. Dan Maff wasn't too good, Matt Stryker vs. Justin Credible was decidedly average and The Briscoes vs. Special K for the tag team gold was boring. Only a tag team match with Xavier and Nigel McGuinness vs. John Walters and Tony Mamaluke managed to hit the 3* mark. So continuing on with this show...

The bell rings and this one is underway. Lockup and Homicide goes behind and then Whitmer with the same and Homicide goes to the wrist. Overhead Wristlock from Homicide and then Whitmer goes to the Arm Ringer and then Homicide takes down Whitmer. There are count outs in this match btw. Homicide with the Arm Ringer again and then a Hammerlock locked in. Whitmer with the Drop Toe Hold and then Homicide with the Hammerlock and a knee to the arm and Whitmer finds the bottom rope. Lockup and Homicide with the Headlock and then into the ropes and an Arm Drag and another from Whitmer. Homicide with Arm Drags and the Arm Bar and Whitmer can not seem to find a break in this one. Whitmer battles to his feet and then Homicide takes him back down and we have more Headlock Takedowns. Headlock Takedown again from Homicide. Side Headlock from Homicide and Whitmer gets him away. Headlock again from Homicide. Homicide grabs the hair. BACK DROP DRIVER FROM WHITMER !!! WHITMER WITH THE SUICIDE DIVE !!! Back into the ring they go and then he hits the ropes and lands the High Knee and that gets a two count. This is now getting more hard hitting as we go on. Homicide into the corner and another High Knee and then Whitmer with the Exploder Suplex and that gets a two count. Whitmer with the running knee to the face and he mocks Homicide. Whitmer comes back with a forearm to Homicide and then goes up. TOP ROPE SUPERPLEX FROM WHITMER !!! Mexican Surfboard from Whitmer now getting applied here. WHITMER ROLLS THROUGH WITH THE MOVE !!! HE ADDS THE DRAGON SLEPER !!! Whitmer has to break as his shoulders are down. Belly 2 Belly Suplex from Homicide and that gets a two count for him. Into the corner they go now and Homicide with a big slap and then he sets Whitmer on the top rope. Right hand from Homicide and up he goes. TOP ROPE BUTTERFLY SUPLEX FROM HOMICIDE !!! ONE ! TWO ! Homicide is in disbelief. Whitmer is heading for the floor now and the referee tells Homicide to back off. WHITMER GETS BACK INTO THE RING !!! The fans DID buy that. The fans totally bought the nearfall count out and you have to credit both guys for building the match to that point. Normally I'd be a bit upset about a waste of about 20 seconds but it made sense. This is a hard hitting war of a match and well worth yer time. ****1/4

The other teams come in at two minute intervals. Acid and Hart go at it. Back Drop Bulldog from Hart. Kash takes down Hart and then a Superkick from Evans. Hurricane Kick from Evans to Kash. Corkscrew Standing Shooting Star and then a Corkscrew Standing Senton. POWERBOMB BLOCKBUSTER FROM THE CANADIANS !!! The fans are loving this so far. BACKSEAT DRIVER FROM THE BACKSEATS ON EVANS !!! Double Bulldog on Hart now. STEREO DOUBLE BACK DROP DRIVER FROM THE BACKSEATS !!! Evans seems to be fucked at this point already. That is a very dangerous move. Evans now heads for the floor and Teddy Hart is sent out there as well. EVANS IS LAUNCHED INTO AND OVER THE RAILING !!! Hart was out there taking a beating too and now the Boys and the Crew. BACK BODY DROPS SEND THE BACKSEATS INTO THE CAGE !!! CARNAGE PLEX ON KASH !!! Double Wheelbarrow Suplex sends Acid into the cage now. Loc with chops on Kash now. Right hand from Vito. Swinging DDT misses. NORTHERN LIGHTS SUPLEX SENDS ACID INTO KASHMERE !!! The SAT now go after the Backseats while Hart and Evans still have trouble on the floor. TOTAL ELIMINATION FROM THE SAT !!! Vito is now busted open. WASHING MACHINE SENDS KASHMERE INTO THE CAGE !!! Vito gets launched into the cage face first. Right hands from Jose. Evans is now heading into the cage and Hart is up there with him. RANA OFF OF THE TOP OF THE CAGE SENDS EVANS INTO THE MASSES !!! ONE ! TWO ! THRE ... KICKOUT !!! No idea who from Special K is involved in this one and everyone now heads for the floor. Evans gets dumped on top of Vito and someone. Deranged and Hydro in the ring. ANGEL DUST WITH THE SUICIDE DIVE ONTO VITO !!! Loc into the corner and a High Knee from Dust. Dust to the top rope and a Flipping Ace Crusher and that gets a two count. Double Powerbomb on Evans and then a Wheelbarrow Lungblower combo. TIGER SUPLEX/LARIAT COMBO DROPS EVANS ON HIS HEAD !!! BRUTAL LARIAT KNOCKS DOWN HYDRO !!! Joel heads for the floor and sends Hart back into the ring and there's way too much going on at the moment. CHAIR BROKEN OVER THE HEAD OF SOMEONE !!! KI KRUSHER ON HART FROM VITO !!! ONE ! TWO ! THR ... KICKOUT !!! Acid and Joel on top of the cage now. ACID IS SENT CRASHING OFF OF THE CAGE !!! Hydro is now heading to one of the corner platforms and the SAT are up there with him. THE SPANISH FLY ONTO THE MASSES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING !!! A bunch of guys are now on the floor and Evans and Hart are now on the platforms. PHOENIX SPLASH TO THE FLOOR ONTO THE MASS OF BODIES !!! EVANS WITH A DOUBLE MOONSAULT ONTO THE BODIES ON THE FLOOR !!! This is madness at the moment. Loc is now whipping Angel Dust with a belt. THE SPIKE PILEDRIVER OFF THE SECOND BUCKLE ON ANGEL DUST !!! YAKUZA KICK ON BIG VITO !!! T-GIMMICK ON HYDRO !!! ONE ! TWO ! THREE !!!

There was a bit too much going on at times but this was still madness and great fun to watch. Obviously the stuff from the platforms was the highlight but the other action was pretty fluent too. ****

Steve Corino vs. CM Punk vs. Christopher Daniels vs. Samoa Joe

We start with Daniels and Corino in the ring and Corino wants a handshake and Daniels just looks at him like "why?" and Corino is pretty insistant about it. Daniels then asks Corino to punch him in the face. Corino then asks Daniels to cross the line and punch him. Punk comes in and pushes Daniels to the floor and then in comes Joe. Kicks to the face from Punk and Joe. Slap from Joe. Punk then kicks Daniels off of the apron. Joe gets a two count from a charge. Joe pushes Punk and now everyone is arguing with each other. Daniels takes down Punk and lands some right hands and the he hits a Clothesline. Delayed Vertical Suplex from Daniels. Why does he always play to the crowd when they cheer him? Idiot. Into the corner and in comes Joe. Jabs and right hands from Joe and then a Delayed Vertical Suplex of his own. Into the corner and in comes Corino. Lockup and they have a break and then another. Headlock Takedown from Corino and the Side Headlock. Corino isn't pleased with the slow count from the referee and then Corino into the ropes and he charges down Daniels. Headlock from Daniels and then he gets sent into the ropes and they collide in the middle of the ring. Corino tells Daniels "you ain't shit!" and gets charged down for his troubles. Corino heads for the floor. Punk attacks from behind and then goes back to the apron. Daniels comes back with right hands on Corino and then lands a Clothesline in the corner and then lands a Suplex. Slingshot Leg Drop from Daniels and that gets a two count. Kick to the chest and then Corino dumps Daniels to the floor. Corino gets sent into the railing on the floor. ARABIAN PRESS FROM DANIELS !!! Punk and Joe now in the ring. SUICIDE DIVE FROM PUNK !!! INSANE PLANCHA OVER THE TOP FROM SAMOA JOE !!! Joe then puts Daniels on a chair and then OLE KICK TO CHRISTOPHER DANIELS !!! OLE KICK TO STEVE CORINO !!! PUNK JUMPS OFF OF THE APRON AND GETS POWERBOMBED INTO THE RAILING !!! CM Punk is probably dead after that! Into the ring with Joe and Daniels. Joe with the chop, kick, Knee Drop combo for a two count. Back Drop Suplex from Joe and then the comeback from Daniels, but he runs into the Belly 2 Belly Suplex for a two count and then in comes Corino. Corino jaw jacks with the crowd and then he chokes Daniels. Daniels with the Sunset Flip and that gets a two count. Punch from Corino and then Punk into the ring and he unloads with stomps. Into the corner and knees from Punk. Forearms and then more chops from Punk. Suplex from Punk and then a Chinlock. Punk runs into a boot and then Daniels with a Reverse Bulldog and now Corino and Joe into the match and Joe goes nuts on Corino and Punk. S-T-JOE ON CORINO !!! FACEWASHES ON EVERYONE !!! GERMAN SUPLEX FROM JOE !!! ONE ! TWO ! KICKOUT !!! Chops and forearms from Joe. Slaps now from Corino and Joe and then slaps. Corino gets the better and then Joe and then Joe chops down Corino. Punk gets a cheap shot on Joe and then a Neckbreaker from Corino and in comes Punk. Joe breaks through a Double Clothesline and lands one of his own and in comes Daniels and he goes to work on Corino and Joe. Punk and Corino aren't happy with each other. Daniels with a Moonsault Press for two. Corino and Punk take each other down. BLUE THUNDER DRIVER FROM DANIELS !!! ONE ! TWO ! KICKOUT !!! BEST MOONSAULT EVER !!! ONE ! TWO ! JOE SAVES !!! Daniels hits the ropes and runs into a Powerslam for a two count. Dropkick from Corino and then he takes him down. DDT FROM CORINO !!! STO FROM CORINO !!! POWERBOMB FROM JOE !!! THE STF !!! Punk breaks that with the Dropkick. SHINING WIZARD FROM PUNK TO JOE ... COUNTERED TO THE STF !!! Enziguri from Daniels to Corino. BEST MOONSAULT EVER ... LEGRANDE TAKES THE HIT !!! LARIAT FROM CORINO TO PUNK !!! DOWNWARD SPIRAL FROM DANIELS TO JOE !!! Daniels sends Punk to the floor. Daniels goes to the corner. DOUBLE SUPERPLEX FROM CORINO AND DANIELS TO JOE !!! Punk tries to steal a pin and that gets a two count. STO to Punk from Daniels. Corino and Daniels with right hands and Daniels runs into a boot. BRAINBUSTER FROM DANIELS !!! ONE ! TWO ! THR ... JOE SAVES !!! Joe and Punk collide and Punk is sent to the floor. SUPERKICK ON JOE !!! ANGEL'S WINGS FROM DANIELS TO JOE !!! LARIAT FROM CORINO TO DANIELS !!! ONE ! TWO ! THR ... KICKOUT !!! Northern Lights Suplex and Daniels is pinned by Corino and Punk.

That match was far too long for what it was going for. Corino and Punk played the friends well, and we also got some good interaction between Daniels and Punk, but all in all, this was too long. ***

Bryan Danielson vs. AJ Styles - #1 Contender's Trophy

To say that the audience are happy to see Bryan Danielson again would be an understatement. Styles/Danielson II for the trophy. Styles holds the first win over the guy who would go on to become one of the better ROH champs. Both men are cautious. Danielson goes for a leg and then a full nelson, but Styles with the escape and then we have an escape. Danielson goes behind and then we have reversals and that's a stalemate. Lockup and Styles goes behind and Danielson gets a nearfall and then two men with the reversals between each other. The battle then goes to the floor and both men are still battling for position and neither man can really get the control in this one. We have a stalemate on the floor. Back into the ring and the fans are getting behind this one. They now lock hands again and Danielson with a Japanese Stranglehold. Styles manages to escape and we go against the ropes. We have a clean break from there. Lockup and Danielson goes behind with the Full Nelson and another clean break from that. Lockup and against the ropes they go again and Danielson with a cheap forearm. BACK DROP DRIVER FROM DANIELSON !!! Styles goes to the floor. Danielson then heads for the floor and lands a European Uppercut and the fans liked that. Another European Uppercut and down goes Styles. Styles then jumps the railing. ENZIGURI OVER THE RAILING FROM STYLES !!! Back over the railing he goes and then back into the ring. Kick to the ribs from Styles and then a big chop. Back Elbow from Danielson but he runs into the Rebound Dropkick from Styles and that gets a one count. Danielson with a palm to the head and then a big Biel across the ring from Danielson. Against the ropes and Danielson has Styles tied up and now goes to work with kicks. Danielson seems to be heeling up a bit. Arm Breaker from Danielson and then more of the same and that second one looked brutal. Danielson has some words for someone in the audience. Arm Breaker into a Back Drop Suplex from Danielson and that gets a two count. Arm Suplex from Danielson and then he goes back to the Wristlock. Styles tries to kick his way out of the move and then he goes with chops and then back to the kicks. Danielson finally lets go and just stamps on the head. Butterfly Suplex from Danielson is blocked and Styles gets some nearfalls from that. Danielson still has it locked though and lands some knees and then eventually lands the move. Stomp to the arm from Danielson. Back to the arm ringer and then he appears to snap the arm and then he stomps on the elbow. Styles finds his way to the apron now and Danielson just continues the assault with an Arm Breaker and then Styles to his feet. Suplex into the ring is blocked. STYLES WITH THE SUPLEX TO THE FLOOR ON DANIELSON !!! Danielson appears to have hurt his leg from that one. Danielson kicks Styles away and he just comes back with a Dropkick. Knee Breaker on the floor from Styles. STYLES THEN THROWS DANIELSON KNEE FIRST INTO THE RAILING !!! That looked vicious and then he rams it into the ringpost and then back into the railing. Danielson's knee is actually cut at this point. Sheesh. Leg Grapevine from Styles. Danielson counters that to a Half Crab and that is very nice. Styles comes back with kicks to the knee. None of that fancy shit for our Danielson. Falling Arm Ringer from Styles and then he locks in the Figure Four Leglock. Danielson finds the bottom rope. Styles then just twists at the leg of Danielson. Danielson finds his way to his feet and tries an Enziguri, but Styles puts a stop to that and then lands a massive Dragon Screw. Danielson calls Styles a pussy and Styles unleashes with kicks to the leg and then one to the head and then he stomps away at the head of Danielson. This one is shaping up very nicely at the moment. Into the corner they go and Styles with a chop and then he puts the leg over the middle rope. Styles runs into a boot. Leaping European Uppercut from Danielson. European Uppercuts now from Danielson. ROARING ELBOW FROM DANIELSON !!! ONE ! TWO ! KICKOUT !!! Danielson heads for the top rope. FLYING HEADBUTT FROM DANIELSON !!! ONE ! TWO ! KICKOUT !!! Styles into the corner and then Danielson runs into an elbow. QUEDABRA DDT ... stopped. CRAVAT SUPLEX FROM DANIELSON !!! ONE ! TWO ! KICKOUT !!! DANIELSON WITH THE TOP ROPE BACK DROP SUPLEX ... COUNTERED !!! Danielson puts a stop to what I'd assume was a Superman 450 Splash. BACK DROP SUPLEX OFF OF THE SECOND ROPE DROPS STYLES ON HIS HEAD !!! ONE ! TWO ! THR ... KICKOUT !!! CATTLE MUTILATION FROM DANIELSON !!! STYLES REACHES THE BOTTOM ROPE !!! Both men with reversals now and Danielson with shots. CATTLE MUTILATION FROM DANIELSON AGAIN !!! He turns it into a pin for a two count. PELE KICK FROM STYLES OUT OF NOWHERE !!! Forearm from Styles misses. DISCUS LARIAT FROM STYLES !!! ONE ! TWO ! THR ... KICKOUT !!! THE TRIANGLE CHOKE FROM DANIELSON !!! STYLES COUNTERS THAT INTO THE STYLES CLASH !!! ONE ! TWO ! THRE ... KICKOUT !!! STYLES CLASH AGAIN !!! ONE ! TWO ! THREE !!!

There were times when the action was a bit flat and the atmosphere wasn't as flat out brilliant as the commentators would have you believe. This was excellent though. Both guys really went out and beat the shit out of each other. ****1/2

It helped that I was forced to start again from Homicide/Whitmer, because four matches happened and three of them were fantastic. The show had three 4* matches which is good by any standards and the main event was some real class action.

Cole as a full-on heel is the best colour commentator I think they've ever had. I don't expect anyone to agree with me (others will say Heyman or Heenan I expect), but he was absolutely outstanding in the role. They created a great character there and I think they are wasting him.

The Orton feud has been terrible and a big part of that for me has been Christians inability to turn the crowd totally against him as a heel, he should never be getting pops!.

God knows what WWE do about this heel situation, it's not looking good at all!.

Forget about my earlier post about the big show, Sheamus needs to be the man they push on again, get him in more main events. He's one of the only heels we have left who works it so well on the mic and in the ring.

Surely him winning the title from Orton would mix it up a bit, something has to change and fast!.

I think he's adapted not bad. He was firstly absolutely horrendous but I think he's sort of grown into it. Certainly one of the better commentators but I suppose that doesn't say much.

I think that Christian could very easily be one of the top guys in WWE, he has the in-ring ability, he's been over for years and he's certainly got the mic skills, but the way this turn has been booked has been terrible in my opinion. I'm all for a whiny heel, but not at the very start of a turn (especially when he had so much momentum as a face for the last 6 months). If they'd turned Orton and booked it the exact way it has with Christian being treated unfairly and being cheated - even having a Teddy Long heelish turn (injecting some much needed interest to his character) with a "he's a bigger star than you, I want him as Smackdown Champion angle" perhaps to explain the original title switch - it would have worked perfectly, you'd have a heel authority figure and a heel champion cheating to victories with the chasing face being screwed over time and again, however, having a newly turned heel losing unfairly and being treated unfairly by the GM in the way Christian has been just makes him look sympathetic and makes it near impossible to get over as a full fledged heel. While it doesn't make Orton look strong as a face either. Can't help but think it's been handled poorly.

Totally agree with the commentary, I'd have Matthews, King and Cole on Raw and Grisham, Booker and cole on Smackdown, they really need to get some continuity so they can build a rapport together, as all the swapping that's been going on has been horrendous.

Cole as a full-on heel is the best colour commentator I think they've ever had. I don't expect anyone to agree with me (others will say Heyman or Heenan I expect), but he was absolutely outstanding in the role. They created a great character there and I think they are wasting him.

I'm not sure it's Lawler's fault that he sounds so crappy just now, I just don't think he can adapt to the more relaxed, conversational style they use now that they adopted on NXT.

Booker was never really great on the mic, was he? He's hopeless as a commentator.

I hate Striker with a passion but I'd like to see Joey Styles back behind the announce table.

I'd say Heyman was better than Cole. Wasn't around for Heenan so can't comment.

It's just what he's saying. He's constantly making jokes, which aren't even a little bit funny. Fat jokes at Vicki when she's shed a tonne of weight. He mentioned his father and his son so many times at CP and on Raw in a jocular way, he's just repetitive.

I can't remember him being that bad, I seem to remember him struggling whenever he guest commentated though.

I like Striker, but I like Impact's commentary cause I like the wrestling, and I like when you have someone telling you what the moves are etc.

I have found out that my mum and dad are thinking about getting rid of sky. So I might not be able to watch the wrestling again or the Football.

But I might buck against the trend here, I've started to really enjoy watching Impact on a Tuesday night. God knows there's a lot wrong with the company but it actually seems to be heading in the right direction. (coming from someone who hates Bishoff and Russo more than anyone)

I just hope that folk like AJ and Beer Money start getting seriously pushed again and it's good to see Chilly McFreeze popsicle Matt Hardie not on screen much. And I have to mention Stings crazy moment on Hogan! Absolute television comedy gold!!!!!

There's still a lot of absolute sh*t though obviously, but like I said, it's started to look decent. Explosion always starts well but then shows stuff from Impact or an older match and I generally fall asleep before knowing what else happens on it.

Oh, agree completely. Paul Heyman was absolutely fantastic. The way he so effortlessly wound up JR was great. Jesse Ventura was brilliant as well, and Heenan was the best.

Austin Aries looked dodgy for a while in ROH, but he was fantastic in Dragon Gate USA recently so it doesn't surprise me that he's impressed in TNA.

Jimmy Rave is fucking shit.

Kid Kash has become a superb natural heel for me. He's lost a step as a wrestler, but what he's lost, he's made up for in character. I'd love to see a Kid Kash vs. Austin Aries match given some time.
