Numbers
I may have this wrong, but my understanding is the club would have to call in the administrators. Any debtor would have to file a bankcruptcy petition through the courts. I suspect if the latter is to happen it would take a couple more days to be formulated and made public. Livi will not do the first, so its the second option i suspect.

ObserverFromAfar
looks like livingston are goin to go bust the answer is who will replace them in the sfl and its not just bad for livingston it makes scottish football look bad also 2 teams goin bust within a year and 2 teams who had a bright future not so long ago If you are referring to Gretna Dylan, I think you are unfortunately incorrect with your observations that they both had a "bright future not so long ago". Both had dillusional outlooks based on tricksters specialising in short term use of smoke and mirrors. In the medium and long term, the mirrors lose their reflection and the smoke machine has run out. And now everyone should be able to see there is nothing there, and the deluded angry that they have been made fools of. Edited to correct typing error... Soccer Dark Blue
We will just have to wait and see what happens as regards to Livingston til tommorow. The close of buisness has come and gone and there has been no announcements, so we should hear something tommorow or the next day. I wouldn't be surprised if Mr Massone found investment at the very last minute.

thejailender
Sky Sports news are reporting that Livi are to go into Administration at midnight tonight. I didn't hear the whole story, also something about the Almondvale stadium hasn't had it's safety certificate renewed (is that the West Lothian Council or Livi's duty to get this done ??) Sorry if this is mentioned earlier in the thread, I had a look but couldn't see it - but then with 131 or so pages I'm checking the whole thread ! edited to add - just seen it posted directly above Edited June 30, 2009 by thejailender

If they go into administration will be sad, hate to see clubs having to go down that route and I should know, I have seen it at Dundee and it ain't a pleasant feeling. If it's true about the safety certificate then that is a complete and utter disgrace on the part of the Livi board. Guest
Always remember that Livingston rent the stadium. Whats the betting on Massone claiming that the safety certificate is the responsibility of the owner...........the council. He will be shocked and disappointed that he is expected to pay rent on something that is not fit for purpose........and he is withdrawing rent payment until the council get the certificate sorted............even if it's only because he hasn't paid the bill, and bought sweeties instead with the 16k that the good people of Stadium House stumped up. Despite that, I bet there's a few who'd give him another chance if he promised to straighten up and fly right. vikingTON
I can't believe that this thread is still going on. I realise I'm not helping by posting Given that there is no financial crisis, can't we just start talking about something else? I find this post apt as we surely come to the end of days... -

Shibuya
Some brighter news for Livingston in the last few hours. The Federal Emergency Management Agency has added Livingston County to the list of Missouri counties approved for federal assistance as a result of May’s storms, tornadoes and flooding. The action expands the reach of the assistance that will be available as a result of the June 19 approval of Gov. Jay Nixon’s request for a major disaster declaration by President Barack Obama and means Livingston counties will be eligible to receive assistance for damage to public property. They will be eligible for federal funding to pay 75 percent of the approved costs for emergency work and the repair, restoration, reconstruction or replacement of public facilities or infrastructure that were damaged or destroyed. Eligible applicants include state and local governments, other political subdivisions of the State and certain private nonprofits. Bridge crews and township crews in Livingston County have been working in a combined effort to assess a dollar amount of storm damage. ........... Looks like this will blow over soon enough.
