SlipperyP
Looking to buy a bike for cycling to work (2-3 miles). Nothing fancy but has to be able to accommodate the slopes (non racialist) of Dundee. Any recommendations? only 180 gbp at spokes. perth road
Cardinal Richelieu
Not really a relevant thread in the Travel Forum, so I'll ask here: Any good suggestions for websites with genuine last minute deals, i.e. listing flights / hotels looking to fill seats / rooms in just a few days time? Went on a mini-tour of Europe with my mate last summer. Despite his protestations, we didn’t book any hotels until the day we arrived in the city. We used lastminute.com and always went for the “mystery” hotel option. It doesn’t tell you where it is (although it’s guaranteed not to be more than a mile or two away), but it promises it’s 5 stars or equivalent. We did this in Munich (during the World Cup final), Prague, Berlin, Brussels and Luxembourg. We paid around £50-£60 per night (total) for a twin room and every hotel was lovely. The best one was in Luxembourg – it was over the weekend and we were in the Euro district. The going rate was about 600 euros a night, so we paid a fraction of it. Only problem is that going back to normal 3 or 4 star hotels is now, quite frankly, slumming it. So basically you don’t really save that much money, but the hotels you get are much more upmarket.
Deeboy
They do. I'll look into the Stobswell option. Cyclelife/Nicholsons. If you can get the cyclescheme then they're worth it, if you're paying straight off the bat you're looking at £450 minimum.
Smurph
I bought a secondhand bike from The Bike Station for £100. It's a 'city bike' and it seems fine for, well, going about Glasgow. There's a shop in Perth and Edinburgh too, so I'd recommend checking them out. Registered charity too, so that's cool.
Lambie's Pigeon Feed
Looking to make a salad with chickpeas in it. Can I use them straight from the can after draining etc.? On a baking tray with parchment paper, drizzle in oil, paprika and salt and pepper. Hot oven, shake every ten mins, will be crunchy and delicious in 30 mins.
Deeboy
Not sure if there is a charity bike shop in Dundee. http://secondcycles.herokuapp.com/?page_id=55 ... Not a charity, but give they boys a look.

Did exactly this, seems we got Superior double room at the Berlin Hilton for £75pn. Cheers.
Tamdunk
Why do people hate selfie sticks, and why is it such a carnal hate? They seem a bit poncey to me, but I think the reaction is way over the top.

They break so easily when you're trying to ram them up the user's arse.

Sweaty Morph
Is there a more cringeworthy goal celebration than Swansea's Gomis doing that lion thing or whatever it is he's meant to be doing? Goal celebrations are a bit shit anyway but that one is toe-curling.
