Quick Question Thread

Good enough for me. I'm off to the TV shop.

Well they are ;) I have 3. If you have kids, they're a godsend. they can watch their shitey Youtube stuff on any of them, leaving you a free TV in another room, so that you don't have to endure annoying orange or whatever, or you can actually get a shot of the laptop or tablet.

I also have 1 as the TV that we watch Sky on, so if Mrs Ranter is recording 2 shows at once, neither of which I like, I can usually find something on the Freeview instead.

On a completely unrelated note, how heavy is a 40" TV? Too heavy to carry?

I've get arms like pipe-cleaners but can still shift my 37" telly like a boss.

If it's not got a handle on the box, it might be too big to fit your arms round to lift it.

I think I should be OK to lift it then. I'm all muscle:

Not too heavy to carry but quite awkward, how far are you planning to carry it?

Not far. If it is awkward and not too heavy that's OK as I have a couple of tricks up my sleeve for moving bulky stuff. I learned them from 3 years working in Curry's as a spotty teenager.

If I wanted to watch a game that's on Sky but a couple of hours after it was on live, and also on my laptop, is that possible in any way? For example if you buy a NowTV day pass can you record programs and watch them later?

Time machine is one option but if you have a Sky account you can get the sky + app that just mirrors the way your sky box works. On PC/laptop you can log in through the Sky website.
