Quick Question Thread

I've genuinely forgotten Messi's first name.

Names considered - Fabio Messi, Franco Messi, Alessandro Messi and Todd Messi but it's not one of them.

It's Antonio Messi.

His parents called him Antonio after Antonio Cassano.

How much debt does the country have per person? (I.e: trillions ➗ population = ?)

I make it about £17,600 (£1,114,000m between 63.2m people)

If you include the liablilities of the state owned and partially state owned banks then that doubles.

Bob

This is my other half's nickname up north. As somebody kept getting the first name mixed up with others which sounded similar, they jokingly asked "can I just all you Bob instead?", to which she jokingly answered "yes", not quite appreciating that name would stick. Makes it slightly awkward when people ask me "are you still going out with Bob?" in front of randoms!

It was only recently I watched that Blackadder episode and realised the actual joke behind it.

Your figure doesn't include private debt. If you add on everyone's mortgages, for example, the figure shoots up.

Good point the questioner should have been more specific.

This is in danger of no longer being "quick"

Sorry for not being clear.

While I was looking for figures I found this site http://www.debtbombshell.com/ which answers my quick ish question.

Has anyone ever taken a bus to Ireland? I'm being quoted a £48 return to Belfast from Edinburgh with National Express at the start of April, and I'm unsure whether or not this includes getting on the ferry.

I would assume that it would include the ferry crossing
