Michael W
Bates sprung to mind as the obvious candidate, tbh. A "forward-thinking player" coming in?
Rovers1992/1993
Jordan Thomson joins on loan from Rangers until January.David Bates heads in the opposite direction though, he joins Rangers on loan until January to link up with their development team. Weird one but an incredible opportunity for Batesy.

Ro Sham Bo
Just how many attacking midfielders do we need?
Jan Vojáček
Ross Laidlaw to Hibs and David Bates to Rangers. What a weird world.
grumswall
I suppose it makes sense to an extent bates going there rather than playing with out reserve team. Gives him a chance to impress at ibrox and if he doesn't he should hopefully come back a better player learning off the likes of weir. He would have been better going out to l1 and playing competitive games every week though. Martin we struggled to break down Alloa so the more the better! Hopefully it will see us move away from the 442 as it just won't work for us.
Brashy's Boots
Hopefully it gives Callachan a shake.

1320Lichtie
Can't believe Bates chose Rangers under 20s over us. After seeing Darren Ramsey and Julien Ogen recently I imagine hell look like beckenbauer in that league. Horrendous move IMO
Broken Algorithms
Fair enough, well I didn't expect another new signing, albeit at the expense of the excellent David Bates. Not sure what it'll mean in the long term. But it adds another option to our midfield, which while containing significant numbers lacked creativity in the middle.

All the guys billed as "attacking midfielders" so far have been played out wide.
CALDERON
According to Rangers fans at work, this guy is a centre mid.
Beachbum
Also, he's left footed and can play at left back if required.

Scary Bear
I'd have kept Bates. He looked the part last season.

In that case we can expect to see Bates working at Glenrothes Morrison's within 2-3 years.
Rovers1992/1993
In that case we can expect to see Bates working at Glenrothes Morrison's within 2-3 years. Lee Bryce is an absolute tool though! I'm sure Batesy's attitude is a lot better than Bryce's. Bryce did that to himself..
R.R.FC
Bryce's lack of footballing ability cost him a lot more than his attitude.
Hank Scorpio
Lee Bryce was a proper handful at under 19's, where his power and pace were unmatched and defenders weren't good enough to defend against it. Barring a few decent sub appearances, he got found out at senior level. Nice boy, though.
