Rovers1992/1993
That's the type of signing that justifies the full time element. It’s taken us to September 6th but we’ve finally cracked it.

Ro Sham Bo
Thankfully there's a few names in that Rovers line I have no recollection of at all.

CALDERON
To this day, I'm still not sure what the f**k Paquito was doing playing for a club like the Rovers.

PauloPerth
Well done on signing Steven Anderson. One of the best non-old firm centre backs in the Premiership of the last decade. An integral part of a St Johnstone side who were largely built on a solid defence, that achieved 6 top six finishes in a row, three fourth places in a row, 5 seasons in Europe and a Scottish Cup win. Scoring a goal in the final. An old fashioned centre half that will stick his head on anything, will throw himself into blocks and challenges. A man who cares about winning. He also provides a genuine threat at set pieces. Will moan constantly at teammates. His distribution is not a strength, and he has always had it in him to slice a clearance off into the stand throughout his career, or similar erratic moments. Overall though he's been an excellent player for us. Once Ando gets upto match sharpness, he'll be a brilliant signing who will probably be the best player in the division.
Raith Against The Machine
Unless I've just failed to notice it in previous games, we've switched to a very rigid zonal marking approach for corners today.Looking forward to it improving our defending significantly, and then being blamed by everyone when we do still inevitably concede from a set piece.
Broken Algorithms
Pretty decent day for us. Nobody really cares about the challenge cup but we've at least considered how our defence is improving, Vaughan returning (with Dingwall a few weeks away too) is a huge boost. The only downside is that Bowie was apparently on crutches after the game.
CALDERON
Encouraging display. Defended well and looked better going forward. Tait played very, very well.

TxRover
Just now, Raith Against The Machine said: Big Steven Anderson looks like a footballer from a bygone era. I adore him already. Agree. He subbed on for Davo (possible hammie?) at about 55 and was almost invisible thence forth. An invisible center-back is generally a good thing when you win with a clean sheet. Horrible situation with Bowie, looks to be a few weeks at least, we'll see what john has to say.

Wee Sandy
Thought Davo was really solid throughout until his substitution. Could be that with more competition (Steve Ando) that both he and Bene will up their game. Regan Hendry. jist majestic min.!! Whit a player!! Falkirk, oh boy!! McKinnon MUST stay!! Theres no messing about, no stupid stuff. He plays, he defends, he wins.
