Yes pretty fair comparison imo Free transfer Vs £80m fee. I'd expect more from the latter given the outlay. Free transfers at this level are always hit or miss. Yes he's shite but he's not £80m worth of shite.

Context is everything. I'd rather have Harry Maguire at RB for the Rovers than I would Millen.
Ro Sham Bo
An argument about whether we would be better off with Harry Maguire or Ross Millen is quite the unexpected plot twist....

As opposed to the silky soccer we're playing just now with slow strikers who can't score? It's not one or the fucking other though is it? I've no problem with us getting a strong forward but they have to be versatile in their approach otherwise we just get stuck with the same stuff we've got now. One plan and no great alternative. You don't need to be 6ft 8 to be dominant in the air and make a difference, in fact it's detrimental and leads to punts up the park that are just as aimless as what we're doing now. We need a forward that can hold it up, lay it off and also get up with the play once they've done that to convert the chances our other players can't. It's asking a lot of course.

Millen is all of the bad parts of Reghan Tumilty with none of the good.

If he puts the ball in the net and we win games then I couldn't care less how we go about it though. As an aside, who was the player who took the long throw yesterday? I think it was mcbride, but not sure. Its definitely something we should look to utilise if we're signing an 8ft tall striker.

Imagine it was him.
Ro Sham Bo
It was Connell. He is like Stevie Hamilton. Nothing going for him except his long throw.

And of course he was responsible for the James Keatings debacle. McGlynn was never short of a terrible signing. grumswall
Connell has a very long throw. Imagine it was him. First time iv seen him doing it. I'm not sure the Inverness players knew what was happening when we piled everyone bar macdonald in the box so definitely something we should look to use going forward.

We've tried it at Hamilton as well, it's the same thing each time though, long to O'Riordan and hope he wins a header

Trying to hit the biggest player in the team with a long throw isn't the worst idea. He doesn't look great at attacking balls like that though

Scary Bear
Can the management team coach Millen into being a better player? You would hope so.
grumswall
Can the management team coach Millen into being a better player? You would hope so. Pep couldn't coach him to be a better player. He's genuinely lucky to still be playing as a professional.
