Rovers2017
Makes me think IM won't be leaving us based on Raith's latest post.

HIT THE CHANNEL
I love watching Easton. A proper ‘pay your money to see’ player who can produce real, real class that is rare at this level. He is ‘hit and miss’ but if he wasn’t he’s be playing far higher up. But he is also hit and miss because of how brave he is. Always takes it, always tries to do the right thing, not the easy thing. Beyond that though, his numbers for us are incredible - especially as a winger. He has 21 goals and 17 assists in 98 games. Not far off a goal or assist every second game. That’s a pretty regular show! Add to that his first season was in a shite Rovers team and this season he was carrying an injury for half of it makes it even more impressive. Absolutely fantastic piece of business. WHHHHHOOOOOAAAAAOOOOOWWWWW!!!!!

CrossgatesCynic
Easton is undoubtedly one of the best players in the Championship. Lovely bit of business.

Agree with others, we should be aiming for a better standard than Thomas Courts
Broken Algorithms
Speaks volumes that Easton wanted to stay in spite of the interest elsewhere. A real statement of intent, and it means we're keeping the overwhelming majority of our attacking players for a second season running.
RRFC_Liam
Might actually get more out of Easton now with a more attacking minded fullback to overlap him, instead of a 2/3 v 1 most of the time when he attacks down the left side
renton
So, still after a RB, a starting CB, a CM if Byrne goes and some proper pace up top. Whether that's a winger and a striker or just some proper speed merchant that can do both adequately.
Irosshed and I was wrong
if IM does go I cannot listen to Tam fucking Courts talking like he's gubbed a thesaurus.

We definitely need another, but I wouldn't at all surprised to see them coming in as the "third", behind those two but ahead of Corr.

Well, it's maybe a semantic point but what I really mean is someone who can and will challenge Fordyce and Murray. We cannot go another season trying to get by on two specialist CBs, even with Corr.

Sweaty Morph
Brilliant news. I did make a Henry/Hendry connection when I saw the Tweet, but it did seem unlikely. Delighted at the news though. It does speak volumes that despite apparent top flight interest, he's happy to sign on and for another two years too. Can't help but feel optimistic about the direction the club is heading, especially when you have guys like Easton, Vaughan and Stanton comitting to to the Rovers.

It would be interesting to see who comes in and fits that speed merchant tag, as the last two players we've had that have been grouped in the "quick" bucket are Smith and Ross and neither of them are what you'd call quick. For context, we saw in the cup game at Livingston that Smith was consistently left standing by the right back, Brandon. I'd be hoping for someone with that level of pace minimum. We also need them to be more than just raw pace, we don't create a lot of chances by in large each game, so ideally they need to be able to have an end product too, that makes them a lot rarer.
