Think McMennamin is free too and Steven Thompsons left St Mirren I think... McMenamin has signed for some English lower league team. Steven Thompson hasn't left St Mirren either. Parscelona Posted May 22, 2013 Share Posted May 22, 2013 Of the merry-go-round from First Division players I'd quite like to see us attempt to take Morris from the Pars, although obviously he may well be out of budget. Dowie is another who could really shore up our defence. Kyle Wilkie from Morton is another who might just be worth a go, we really lacked a left winger all season so he'd maybe be worth a shot. Outside of those guys I can't say any if the released First Division players seem to be worth going after. I would've been happy to get Gordon Smith onboard as well but Moore has links with him from Stirling and it looks like he'll sign for Morton. Can't recall what Dowie is like but we apparently tried to sign him in March so it must be a possible. I noticed Sean Higgins was released by Falkirk. He's got a reasonable track record in the 1st division although he didn't seem to make much of an impact there last season. I'd be surprised, without being disrespectful, if he didn't have better offers than Raith - although I wouldn't be surprised if he was still in SFL1 next season.
