Ancient Mariner
last week and today have shown that Jamie Watson is not ready for first team football. to be fair to Smith( and Watson) he maybe has no other choice with Davo and McHattie not fit sooner one of them is back the better as for our goalkeeper he is just a disaster waiting to happen, the defence must be crapping themselves any time the ball goes near him, poor poor. fortunate to get the draw today, didn't play well and gave the ball away far too often we will take the point but report card says - must do better
Scottydog
unready as Watson is he wasnt todays issue imo. G Smith. Thomson. Murray. Buchanan. Vaughan and to a lesser extent Robertson were all garbage today. We started well but lost the plot. Smith like so many of his predecessors is 1 dimensional and doesn't have a clue how to fix it when plan A isn't working.Sent from my SM-G930F using Pie and Bovril mobile app
L. Brilliant
Worst available option in goalsMost threatening player in an inevitably overrun 2 man midfield - miles from goal and barely in the game.No harm to young Watson and i bet these games are doing him good, but we surely have options to be more solid with Thomson rb Murray lb. We've got Vaughan Buchanan Spence Barr Zanatta all on the park and pose barely any threat.Lennox and Davidson MUST be injured surely
grumswall
I don't think Warson was all that bad last week. Today he struggled though, which is always bound to happen from time to time with young players. Iv not been impressed with Murray very often. If anything he's a lb and a poor one at that for me. Thomson isn't a lb but is doing as well as can be expected. He's playing a game completely unnatural to him. Smith. Smith. Smith. Where do you start with that clown? Too scared to leave his line incase someone steals it. When he does he flaps at most things. Give me a keeper' who can stop a goal over someone who parries the ball to an attackers feet then doesn't make himself big, but narrow any day of the week! We have 3 better keepers' than him at the club yet he keeps getting a game. We miss bene massively. We don't have a lb really either. Mchattie was injured when we signed him again (f**k knows why) and has been injured for the majority of the time. Buchanan and Spence are poachers. Guys who need service. They get none at present. We won't win the league if there aren't changes made. I hope Smith has it in him to do it.
Beastie Russell
We have a front 2 who play on the shoulder, and a back 4 that play too deep. its no wonder our midfield is over run and can’t create
basher brash
We create nothing from midfield to be honest and like an aimless punt up the park by calamity Smith, no wonder the front 2 haven’t scored as many as expected, We desperately need to strengthen because we will never win the league on current form and are badly needed more quality/ experience as we have more to lose if we don’t go up
Stellaboz
How's Herron getting on? He seemed a solid, if far from spectacular central midfielder end of last season.

Started badly and went downhill from there, hasn't been entirely awful but not even close to a stand in for Callachan never mind permanent replacement.
Hank Scorpio
How's Herron getting on? He seemed a solid, if far from spectacular central midfielder end of last season. He’s not very good tbh. His performance down at Ayr in the 3-0 drubbing was an embarrassment and it seemed like he could do no wrong in the eyes of the manager for a while, playing 90 minutes every week despite being generally pish. Currently injured and wouldn’t be sad to see him kept out the team.

RRFC2711
Did you notice in the last minute when Smith was taking the free kick from the half way line , instead of just punting it into the mix where it should go , he starts conducting the team like it's all about him. Which he does frequently. Play the young un if Lennox isn't available we will allow a youngster a few mistakes he really impressed at the start of the season.

Smith’s organisational ability is his strong point, he’s not “making it all about him”. There are a lot of aspects of Smith’s game that you could pick holes in, but making a case against him for trying to organise the side before taking a free kick, without even knowing what he was saying, instead of just humping it forwards, is just downright odd.
