Mitchell poking one in for The Rose at the 2’ mark…given we can’t get anyone to do that for us, bring him home!

Two goals all season in league two? Haud me back!

In all seriousness though, I think he’s playing more in a wide role for them in a front three is he not?

I know, but it’s more than most of our forwards…

For this match he was playing on the left of a front two.

Murray’s desperation to keep hold of Connell scares me to death. I’ve just got round to watching that utter dross that was the Raith v Morton highlights, we are getting worse as a team. We have absolutely nothing going forward. Wtf was McNeil doing for that Morton goal. Once a McNeil always a McNeil🤣🤣

While Mitchell is raw, would he actually offer any less than Connell? Seems a pretty easy way to save a wage. Connell works hard and has a long throw but isn't looking likely to bang them in any time soon. Assuming killie don't offer him a new deal we would also need to sign him permanently which I would have thought would have required a fee as well. He had a good game against Ayr but hasn't really shown anything worth paying a fee for him, or even keeping him on beyond his current loan.

Connell isn’t what we need, but then again there isn’t a plethora of strikers looking for clubs. Especially a club like Raith,  also ours is in some kind of self inflicted decline. Is it by design or just pure bad luck. The crap going on in the board room is being reflected onto the pitch sadly😢

I wouldn't keep Connell but I think he's more use to us than Mitchell at the moment. Mitchell will benefit more from regular appearances for Broxburn than the odd 5 or 10 minutes for us.

Maybe. I just think if frederiksen is off and Connell goes. That frees up more money for potential signings. Mitchell would do us a turn until they where made at least and with only gullan and Vaughan that (in theory) play as a striker, he's bound to get more than the 5/10 minutes during that time also.

For me the only loan signing that is must keep is o'riordan. Ngwenya has done well and I'd keep him as I think dick is better at cb than lb but again if it where to free up more money for a striker that will compliment the rest of the squad and get us kicking on, then we also have young who can come in. I wouldn't be going out of my way, if I was Murray, to get oconnell back unless there aren't any better alternatives.

With Lang back and Dick proven well enough at CB, I think we are maybe a centre back heavy. Obviously the ideal choice if you wanted to empty one it'd be Nolan but with O'Riordan being a loanee it maybe ends up being him that goes. Either that or send Ngwenya back and run with Dick as your one specialist LB for the rest of the season.

McBride and Frederiksen must know they aren't looking at much or any game time. There may be space to negotiate their release if they can get gigs that they will likely get game time in. Let Connell go, he's done no where near enough.

That's 3 to 4 wages freed up. Spraff it all on a half decent shite Hawk CF who will get 5 to 8 goals between now and the end of the season.

Nolan is signed, O’Riordan is a loan, so the easy call there is Dick and Lang as preferred CB, Nolan and Masson as cover. Nolan looks like we’ll keep him around, he’s been solid enough. If we can keep O’Riordan, I can live with letting a Ngwenya go back…if we lose O’Riordan, we can can let Ngwenya go back.

Connell, oh my, oh my. I love the lads work ethic, but he can’t bang them in. If we can sign him without any compensation, fine…if it requires compensation, let him go.

Mitchell, getting playing time and developing at The Rose, let’s leave him there if we can…but if we really need yet another left (or right) wing, if we will play him, bring him home.

Arnott is not getting much time at Brechin, seek a different loan for him.

Young’s loan is up…and he’s sharing time, but the word is Nicolsen is going back. IF Nicolsen is going back and we keep Ngwenya, extend Young’s loan…if Ngwenya is going back, bring back Young to cover Dick at LB and to allow Dick to cover CB when needed.

Fredericksen and McBride, regardless try for a mutual agreement release…Mahady, try to get a mutual agreement release or at least a loan that will pay some of his costs…Coulson, keep here unless we recall Mitchell, in that case, loan him out…

Lets not forget keeper…how close is Thomson to a return from a broken hand/wrist? How bad is JMac’s shoulder? What’s the plan for next year, as both JMac and Thomson are out of contract.

There has to be a half decent, aging CF in the Premiership that is eating salary and not playing much…our play has shown we are desperate for a true CF, so he’d play…surely we can find someone with IM’s contacts. Partick wouldn’t be stupid enough to loan us Dowds, would they?

Connell should be no where near a contract beyond December, said it when we signed him he was not good enough and I think his performances confirm that. Him and McBride should never have been signed, Frederiksen having seen nothing of him is another strange signing or panic signing.

Mahady is only here because we can't or won't pay out his contract.

All could leave and we would see no difference in our team. Hopefully IM has identified someone that can come in and play a number 9 role, however when you see some of his signings I doubt it. Maybe Crewe have a 20 year old that needs loan time.

No, but they have a 27 y-o CF who has played about 21 minutes this year but has a decent CV…Chris Long, ex-Motherwell, scored 10 goals in League One last year…almost certainly above our pay ability and probably a dud, but you asked.

Forgot to reply the first time you responded bud sorry. I agree the shit behind the scenes appears to be showing face on the pitch through one way or another. There may not be a plethora of strikers available for us but some of the chances he has missed in his time is criminal for any striker regardless of ability.
