Bairnardo
Made a sort of stroganoff type sauce tonight, but lacking a few ingredients so was a bit of a hybrid effort. Had no brandy, so elected to lob some whisky in. Chose Laphroaig to see how the smokiness would work in a creamy sauce. Actually really enjoyed it. Before the cream went in I thought I had fucked it as it seemed overpowering but it mellowed out. Will do again, but maybe with a different smoky boy, the medicinal twang of the Laphroaig was still there. -

Bairnardo
It's a OFTW thing.Yep. Same as that mealy pudding shite they go on about. The North East is a cultural wasteland and never is it better demonstrated than their obsession with ensuring all food is bland. -

Shandon Par
If you're in Greenwich and fancy a burger, the "Plant" burger from this place: https://www.honestburgers.co.uk/menus/ was the best burger I've ever tasted. I really think they are just taking the piss and selling a normal meat burger and pretending it's vegetarian.
