I often find that an hour or so after eating a McDonalds I feel a bit ill. Not sure what it is, but I rarely have one now since I clocked this.

The worst example was about a year ago, when I was heading to Glasgow. Stopped at McDonalds for breakfast on the way. Driving into Glasgow my stomach started doing somersaults. As soon as I got to Glasgow, narrowly avoiding sharting myself, I made my way to a different McDonalds and utterly ruined their bog.

About a year ago someone suggested avocado on toast to me and I wasn't sure at all. After a few goes I settled on Paprika for flavour and I eat it all the time now. Dead filling and keeps you going till lunch. Here's this morning's breakfast with poached egg. IMG_20230727_091222.thumb.jpg.5c0a184889446f1c198465984327e828.jpg

Thought avocado toast was a SoCal meme years ago.

Love it with some feta, chilli flakes and a poached egg (some sumac or za'atar for a bit more middle eastern taste) f**k yes!

Cooked a small gammon joint to slice and have on rolls or through pasta during the week.

Whilst it was still warm I was cutting it and there's barely enough to make one sandwich with now I've 'picked' at it that much. :bag

Bit of a weird one this. Visited Prague last week and went to a restaurant which showcases potatoes. Aye. Tatties!

There was a tasting main dish where you chose a meat and they brought out five different potato sides. The lad brought them out in wee pots and explained each one while he spooned them on to your plate. You were then able to order as many repeats of the sides as you wanted. Basically all you can eat tatties. Again weird but they were all very very good.

Meat is slow cooked brisket.

Tatties- Sri Lankan curry and beetroot, miso butter, raclette cheese, sour cream & chive and tomato & pesto.

Yknow.

I've tried to rotate that shot & every fucking angle looks like you're on the ceiling or something.

Brambory. Went in February, thought it was brilliant.
