Give me strength. Completely unrelated, I've just left out the bins, next door neighbours supposedly have Covid-19, so I put on a pair of gloves, left out the two bins, and when I came in washed and sanitised my hands. (After disposing of the gloves in the black bin.) Over reaction? Update - next door neighbour has apparently been spoken to by the police for being out of the house when a member of the household (his mother) has Covid-19. Somebody down the village challenged him about being out of the house when there was Covid-19 in it and he admitted that there was but that "he couldn't stay in the house". We've watched him the last few days in and out of the house like a fiddler's elbow. If he had stayed in his front garden we probably wouldn't have been too concerned, but he was up and down the path and in and out of their cars although he didn't drive anywhere. I saw him this morning walking back up the path eating a sandwich. Late morning/early afternoon he headed off again and disappeared round the corner, I think that must have been when the police got hold of him, although he was supposed to have been out for a walk this morning in his pyjamas and dressing gown. (See paragraph 1.)
GordonS
A clear and overwhelming majority of people in massive houses are over-privileged, over-entitled arseholes. Far too many regard them as our betters and do whatever they want. I don't know who I hate more, those who affect superiority on the basis of the cost of their house, or the lickspittle, servile scum who do their bidding for no reason or gain when they ought to tell them to piss off.

I don't know what they were talking about, surely all that had to be said was "You're not allowed out of the house, the next time you're for the custody suite".

The Real Saints
Hello lads! Just thought I'd share the second track from my upcoming debut album, Grey Hairs And Black Dogs (out on May 29th). This song is called Someone Like Me and it is based on those extremely rare occasions at university when an attractive member of the opposite sex would show an interest in me and I'd convince myself that they must be going through a temporary period of insanity. Their attraction to me would be a real turn-off. There is nothing more unappealing than bad taste. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GM-LhQfsp4M

hearthammer
Just received my "high risk" letter this morning from the Scottish Government. It says i've to self-isolate and follow the various instructions they provide for a full 12 weeks - "from the date of this letter". I've been chez moi since 21st March, so i'm already 5ish weeks compliant. Another seven weeks from now will take me to the middle of June, which is roughly when my work are looking (optimistically) to be resuming. I'm more concerned to find out if this letter is the equivalent of a "sick line" if my work want to resume, but i'm obliged to stay home due to my health (or lack of it or i wouldn't have got the letter). It's something i'll look at if the situation arises, but has anyone here who has a similar letter been made aware of what the position might be ?? Cheers

Not easy or much fun but needs must for now.

Ross.
Somehow managed to get sucked into a covid-19 conspiracy theory/anti vaxxer discussion on Facebook earlier, arguing with a couple of folk who have always seemed generally sound of mind but now seem certain that Bill Gates wants to force the world to take his drugs so he can rule for all eternity.
