Wait, what? Quick, call the Balloon Engineers 😂

Trains in and out of Glasgow have been disrupted after a balloon got caught in overhead wires.

ScotRail confirmed that services around the city were delayed on Monday after the inflatable got caught above the tracks outside Queen Street Station.

Engineers have been dispatched to the scene to attempt to remove the balloon.

I'm sure this happened in America recently and the correct response is fighter jets and missiles.

Look forward to Are' Boys dealing with it promptly

Sounds as daft as the 'leaves on the line' announcement you hear in autumn, but both are actually very valid. If any balloon or other object gets caught in the trains pantograph it can cause damage or rip down the 25Kv overhead lines causing hours worth of delays to repair. Best not to take chances, unless the balloon was George Galloway, in which case I'd just have been happy to see the cnut fry.

(Here ends today's boring, train driver input).

One man with an airgun should be enough.
