After going to the Cowdenbeath-East Kilbride play-off game (and having just about dried out five hours later) I sampled the fabled red pudding supper for the first time yesterday evening. It was a taste revelation.

A similar result could be achieved in the civilised world by deep-frying slice; this should be Scotland's latest contribution to global cuisine.

I still find it hard to believe that the humble red pudding isn't enjoyed right across this great nation of ours.
It's a travesty I tells ya.

I've never tried red pudding. Next time I go to the chip shop (avoiding debate) I might.

The red pudding which is available in Angus and Dingwall, isn't a patch on the red pudding that you get in Fife.

I say this to prevent the uninitiated from suffering disappointment.

They all come out of the same snouts and trotters factory built into the side of a hill in an undisclosed location in Scotland.

f**k sake. So nows it next time I'm in Fife and go to the chippy (it'll be a chippy, that's what they're called in Fife) I'll get one. Maybe it's just not meant to be.

I have had an alcohol free weekend.  It was fucking dreadful.

Never again.

I do an on call system through my work which means i can't drink in 1 in every 6 weeks. I dread that week from the moment i finish the week on call.

I don't blame you, it has been ridiculously boring and unrelaxing.
I plan on setting it right starting at Musselburgh races on Friday and not having a weekend off it for at least another decade.

Aye, Quite right, I've got the Edinburgh cup booked up in a few weeks. Being abstinent feels like your completely wasting two free life days.
