Steve McQueen
Think he said that his wife got a shock with him being home during July & sent him back to work.I thought boardman had taken a step back from the TV coverage after last year? Or is it cos they are covering from the UK?
Steve McQueen
Today may be the worst stage ever! Nothing has happened.
kiddy
Yates in yellow. Alaphilippe penalised 20 secs! It was apparently for an unauthorised supply pick up. Edited September 2, 2020 by kiddy

jaggyness
No t bettered much today, even with a hill top finish! Obviously not steep enough, at least the break made it an interesting watch. They better hope for some movement over the weekend. If it isn't windy then the two stages after the rest day could be incredibly dull. Be interesting to see exactly how Saturday's stage pans out with the first two really tough climbs of the tour albeit not a summit finish.
buddie06smfc
Bora have blown the race apart today from minute one. Sounds like yet more chaos could ensue 40km from the end hopefully for GC as well. Hopefully set up perfectly for another van Aert win today.
kiddy
End of GC aspirations for Pogacar Porte & Landa as both mis move by Ineos in the cross winds? 55 secs down with about 22Km to go. Carapaz off the back of the peleton. Puncture? @35, 12Km to go Pogacar 1.05 Carapaz gives up & drops back to group 2 1.17 back. kiddy
Van Aert takes the stage , group 2, 1.21 down. Sagan outside the top 10! Could've been worse for Sam Bennett who comes in 14 mins down.. Sagan finished 13th Edited September 4, 2020 by kiddy
kiddy
Sagan gets led out at the sprint for minor points, (there's a break up the road) & gets blown out, ending up with nothing, Bennet taking 2 & cutting Sagan's lead to 7. Lotto Jumbo hit the front as the peloton approach the HC Porte de Bales. Just that & the Peyresourde to go before the drop into Loudenville. Still 12'20 behind the stage leader. Pinot dropped & putting up the distress flares. Giving off signals of back pain to the cameras. Lost a min already. kiddy
First sign of Jumbo Visma weakness? Sepp Kuss dropped with a good 5 km to go of the 2nd last climb! Gesink gone too with 3 km to go. Edited September 5, 2020 by kiddy
jaggyness
First sign of Jumbo Visma weakness? Sepp Kuss dropped with a good 5 km to go of the 2nd last climb!Commentators asking the same thing, but more in terms of burning through the domestiques too early. Pinot as well going backwards, hoping he can keep going and pick up at least a stage win later in the race.

Still the Peyresourde to do! Edited September 5, 2020 by kiddy
kiddy
Allaphilippe attacks & then goes pop! Yates distanced & Pogacar attacks. Roglic & Quintana follow Then Bernal winding them back in. Edited September 5, 2020 by kiddy
jaggyness
Jumbo starting to crack? Roglic going to have to attack as out of team mates? He can of course do it, probably put time into his rivals also
kiddy
Peloton regrouped, prob 4/5 km to go on climb. Pogacar goes again, Carapaz trying to close it down. Porte, Landa & Martin go off in chase.
kiddy
Yates still in yellow, loses 40 secs to Pogacar & 2 to Bardet. Rest of GC Roglic/Quintana/Uran/Porte/Landa/Martin/Bernal & Lopez all finish together.
kiddy
Bit of a bizarre start today, Pinot goes up the road with 2/3 team mates lasts about 20 mins, blows & then drops by the peloton as if a trap door has opened! Aru, who was out the back from the get go, abandons.

Thought his chance had gone when he kept looking back with 3 km to go. Not exactly enamoured with the time bonuses on top, as the race is extremely close between the top 8, covered by just a minute. With Roglic 21 sec lead over Bernal being covered by bonus. Must be the most exciting race in decades, with multiple teams still in with a chance of GC victory.
