I found the sound to be a bit all over the place all night. Just when you thought they'd got on top of it, it would all go a bit wrong again.

I wasn't there but my sister suggested the wind was blowing the sound all.pver the place, so one minute it was fine then the next something was too strong or was lost. Another one for the "Hampden isn't really that good is it" argument.

What a show they put on, I can see why it takes them the best part of a week to set up. We were standing next to the right side middle tower, fair to say I filled my pants when the first confetti cannon went off

It really is an incredible show. Whilst you can never complain about good weather, its a shame for you guys that they started so early, was the same in Cardiff the other year. Dark skies make for a much better light & pyro show. It was after 9 before they started in Marseille. Probably the best I've seen them that one. Great stadium, great crowd, great sound & lights, and an even more energetic performance than usual - Till seemed revitalised after coming through the rubbish that was hanging over him last year.

Green Day at Bellahouston tonight. Absolutely incredible. Dookie in full for it's 30th Anniversary was great, but American Idiot in full for it's 20th was absolutely off the scale. One of the most important albums of my youth, to see if played front to back was an absolute delight. No voice, knees are pounding, what a night.

Admittedly that was based on never trying to get out the car park. Anywhere on the street next to Asda then, same parking spot with a fraction of the hassle.

Cheers for this. We were at Green Day and we were home before midnight (my house is actually just outside of Glasgow now). We got caught in traffic after the Foo Fighters and didn't get home till 1am so we were keen to avoid a repeat of that.

Just the one more gig this month with The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die at Stereo on Friday. Can't wait for that one.

July looks like this:
1st: The Endless Summer (The Hug and Pint)
7th: awakebutstillinbed (Broadcast)
15th: Into It. Over It. (Stereo)
19th: Big Girl's Blouse (King Tut's)
25th: Free Throw (G2)
30th: Alkaline Trio (O2 Academy).

Some shows I'm really looking forward to this upcoming month. I'll no doubt also go to a couple of shows at Inn Defence in Dumbarton if they manage to get any on.

What a gig, dying today though, I'm too old for 3 day drinking sessions, when I get home I'll be lying in a dark room until I'm back at work next week.

Looks like you were very close to where I was. American Idiot in full was incredible, like you it was one of the biggest albums of my youth.

The Killers last night at the Hydro were ace. But absolutely bizarrely, not one person asked to see my ticket. I got buzzed by the metal detector at the entrance and just walked right in.

If I hadn't *shown* a steward my ticket to help me find my seat, literally no-one would have checked it. I could have literally just walked in.

When did you get there? How busy was it? I'm going tomorrow but I don't know how early I'll need to be.

We got there about 8pm, saw the last half of Travis. The Killers came on at the back of 9.

Couldn't really see unfortunately as the lights were off, sorry. Looked pretty full though.

That'll be for Travis. The Killers will be on around 9 based on my Hydro experience.

It's night three, there'll be a bit of fatigue. I'm sure I'll be fine.

What a superb week for gigs!

Monday - Alvvays O2 Academy Glasgow.

Molly Rankin is up there with one of the best live singers I've ever heard, was brilliant to hear the songs from Blue Rev as it was one of my favourite albums in 2022.

Tuesday - Green Day Bellahouston Park.

First time seeing Green Day live and was a special moment hearing Dookie and American Idiot in full. Dookie is in my top 10 all time favourite albums, the bands stage presence and the atmosphere from the crowd was incredible.

Wednesday - -The Killers The Hydro.

3rd time seeing The Killers live so knew what to expect, but still one of the best live bands you'll see. Only slight criticism was no Spaceman but a great setlist nonetheless.
