fanny paddery
£500, starting with minimal stakes to see if its profitable. If its not I am probably pricing up the matches wrongly. There are 2 elements to this as blue pointed out. As stoke are currently trading below your lay price do you plan to lay them?

Yes. The only bets I'd get matched at the moment are laying Stoke and backing Swansea.
blue4578
The best way to succeed is to be a market maker across many games, rather than picking one and putting all your eggs in one basket. If you have an edge, the variance in the results is much lower if you bet on more games and steady profit should follow.
ShakehandsTom - DFC
Is there somewhere that you can check what percentage of games have had Over 1.5/2.5 Goals per game etc in a particular division, over a certain period of time?
Paris Hilltoon
On the back of ladbrokes BTTS coupon they have the tables with stats including games since a 0-0, games since scoring, since conceding and a couple others.

One place (there are many) is: http://www.stats.betradar.com/statistics/betfaircom/?language=en Click on the country and league you require on the left hand menu, change the season via the main league table (unless you require this season) and then click Over/Under at the top. You can then choose 1.5, 2.5 or 3.5 goals (or 0.5, 1.5 and 2.5 for first/second half only) and it will give you the overall league percentage for Over/Under the total you've chosen, as well as the details for each individual team. A wee question, If you're figures had a team at 2.0 and the market was at 2.3 before you started, would you back at 2.3 and adjust your line or would you still look to lay at 2.0 less your margin.

blue4578
http://www.stats.bet...om/?language=en Cheers. I don't know if this is just me or if it's the same for everyone else, but if I click on that link through this forum, it gives me an error message, but the same link is fine when I open it any other way. A wee question, If you're figures had a team at 2.0 and the market was at 2.3 before you started, would you back at 2.3 and adjust your line or would you still look to lay at 2.0 less your margin. If you're saying I think the price should be 2.0, ie I think a team was 50% likely to win, and 2.3 odds were available, then I'd obviously just back it. Probably for a bit more than my average stake too as that's quite a large perceived edge. Using the backing and laying all outcomes with a profit margin built in, you'd probably end up laying the outsider and possibly the draw as well. If you're laying the other two outcomes as well like that, it's just like backing the third outcome anyway.

fanny paddery
If it's a three way dead heat ... then it's £100 divided by 3 x 19. The stake is divided not the odds so the correct return should be .= £633.33 Thanks for the input but im sure we got this resolved 2 years ago when the question was asked
Fraser Fyvie
I logged on to bodog to find that the sportsbook has closed down, so tried to withdraw what I had (only £5). The minimum is £10 so I contact them and they say I will only be able to deposit money and then withdraw it all when the site is up and running, yet don't give me any indication of when this will be And then recommend that I play their casino games to boost my (their) funds. Fucking p***ks. How difficult can it be to deposit £5 back to my bank account. Does anyone know when their site will be up and running?

tinkerbelle
Halftime in the Newcastle, Sunderland game they gave the latest live odds on Demba Ba to score next. He scored an own goal, will they pay up on that?

ICTJohnboy
I bet a 10 spot on Andy Murray's conqueror Janowicz to beat Tipsarevic in the French Quarter final. Tipsarevic retired when 4-1 down in the final set. Paddy Power say my bet is now void. Has anyone else suffered through this?
Nightmare
Yes. Had a large chunk on Murray 3-0 against someone at the Australian Open 2011, and he was two sets up, and something like 4-2 in the 3rd set, when the guy retired and the bet was void. Was raging, but that's just the way it works. Just looked it up. Karol Beck, 1st round, 6-3 6-1 4-2 before Beck retired.
