Fife Saint Posted January 17, 2016 Share Posted January 17, 2016 I often use my laptop to watch plex or nfl and run an hdmi into the telly. What's annoying is the TV sometimes takes up to 10 mins to mirror the laptop screen. You plug in the hdmi and the hdmi2 is selected but it flashes a blue 'no signal' screen before finally mirroring. ham89 Posted January 17, 2016 Share Posted January 17, 2016 I did a full defrag of my hard drive last night and now the available space has dropped from 80GB to 30GB which is kind of the opposite of what I expected. Any advice? Defragmentation shouldn't increase or decrease storage. It simply rearranges where files are stored to allow the CPU to access the information quicker and more efficiently. It cant increase the physical storage available but it can, and often does, increase the storage the OS sees as available.
