His stubbornness (ego, stupidity) was ultimately his downfall as a manager. Letting Craig go to St Johnstone was another howler by Yogi. With a bit of adaption to his pitter patter passing game getting nowhere he could have been very effective for us. As he proved at St Johnstone and Hibs. Yogi was an all time great player for us and did good work with the background structure of the club. To be fair he did have some good seasons managing but he lost his way. Will remember him for the good times - that's fair.

Was that the consecutive seasons finishing 7th when he lost his way, or the season he qualified us for Europe, reached a cup final and a semi final, and kept us in the top flight?
Rugster
I'd have Yogi back in a fucking heartbeat right now.
AL-FFC
I dont think the budget would allow another player turnover like we have had the past few on account of Yogis fall outs with players.

When he left he had achieved so much and you are right to highlight these great moments. But relationships had broken down between Yogi the board and the support. Maybe it was a case of he needed the change. He has gone on to have the same issues with the other clubs he managed.

Aye, it's incorrect to say he was poor for us or anything like that, getting 7th in the top tier and to cup finals is likely the ceiling for a club like ours. The problem is more about the budget he used for the 'next level' players and the state the club was left in after he left although much of the blame for that has to be on the people who gave him that budget and agreed to the contracts. That and, as you say, the relationship had broken down between a few parties.

Bairnardo
No tweets from the Bexley beast?Never mind, he needs to be conpletely and conprehensively deleted from the narrative. No credit to the board for this, it simply confirms the takeover as the very worst example of their incompetence in running the club and completely shite attitude towards the fans. They need to get something else going immediately. They already played their hands (root and branch review etc etc) and subsequently folded them in favour of baring their arse to a Lyle Lanley character. Go cap in hand to BtB, the patrons, Gowser... Anyone except these fucking wasters. Dont care what they did 20 years ago, the last 2 years are more than enough to justify their hounding. Absolutely killing this club.Oh and now Ray McKinnon is squarely their problem, not the poundshop Kenny Rogers.

I will be re-evaluating if I will go back to games.
