Nesbitt's got to go for me as he can only really play as the 10 and even then Telfer's much better than him in that position. The full core of the team needs redone yet again for about the 3rd or 4th season running. 13 signed players for next season already which means there's going to have to be a hell of a lot of wheeling and dealing to try clear out the dross. I'd keep Mcguffie, Williamson and Martin on as back ups but that being said Martin's been posted missing for the past few months.

Goalkeeper
Paddy Martin
Luke Holt - Get Rid

Defenders
Ryan Williamson
Brad Mckay - Please Get Rid
Leon Mccann
Paul Watson

Midfielders
Callumn Morrison
Steven Hetherington - Get Rid
Aidan Nesbitt - Get Rid
Craig Mcguffie
Seb Ross - Get Rid

Strikers
Jaime Wilson - Get Rid
Finlay Malcolm

Why would you keep Martin rather than Holt as a matter of interest?

We've seen Martin play and I don't think we have to see Holt play given Gretna sent him back from his loan.

But either Martin's injured or he's had a falling out with Rennie as he's not been in any of the match day squads for a while.

Apparently his gretna teammates nicknamed him 'bagel hands'

So it now appears that Fergus (I assume) has brought in a whole squad of players and promised them the world without the club even knowing about it? How can that actually happen?

Details please?

Article on the COYB facebook page. Reading between lines Ian Fergus pulled a hard and fast one. Brought in a bunch of kids at U12 level, promising pro youth and the world, then he left without telling anyone, New board had no clue and doesn;t have the funding for it so cut the team.

IMO writing was on the wall when he came to us, gutted boys clubs from Edinburgh, and presented them as a new squad almost instantly scouted. Sure, it was enjoyable for us as we benefitted, but one day he'd do something dodgy to us too. Only took him about 6 months it seems!

That’s what happens when your mate think he runs the club.

Wow, that's bad. Hopefully someone at the club has contacted each family personally to apologise.

It’s on the back of the herald with Jamie Swinney addressing it so you would imagine so.

Just shows the amount of crap the new BOD have to deal with.

One thing from the fatal Q&A that wasn’t addressed enough was the question about nepotism being rife at the club.

Gary Holt appointing his mate fergus who leaves shortly after he does who then appoints his son to help run the youth teams with him and meanwhile Gary holts son gets a 2 year deal that summer, that’s Netflix worthy content.

Utter shambles and do not envy the job the new BOD have walked into.

I remember commenting on this at the time being pretty sceptical about it. The youth setup seemed like a bit of a con from the off with one trial in Edinburgh resulting in a team of players that suddenly were flying out the traps against teams(handpicked no doubt to make them look good).

A new poster called Edinburgh Scout came on to suggest Fergus had pulled a fly one over the club too.

Never thought it would be that bad but then as you say if he did that to others then why not to us too!?

Gary Holt is an absolute c**t and it is a mark of absolute shame he was allowed to return to the club and pull some strings. Dictionary definition charlatan.

Seems like his pal Fergus isn't too dissimilar in character.

It only seems a short time ago, Falkirk fans were blowing smoke up Fergus's ass, buying into the vision of a brighter build your own future.....

I know this is totally off-topic and old news, but it's better than talking about our chances on Saturday. I saw on the Airdrie thread that they're talking about the possibility of Alan Gow going to them in some youth development capacity. I didn't really pay attention to the thing with him being Head of Football Operations, what with Covid being the main concern at the time in 2020 - can someone tell me the story of his appointment and why he left after so little time? I remember Deans making a snidey comment at the infamous Q&A, but he didn't really go into much detail.

Who were the Alan Gow backers, heard a snippet of him coming on board as Head of Youth with some far east investment,     Will believe it when I see it...
