Guest
Puddefoot never cut the mustard for me.Our place in the world of football transfer fees that will never ever ever be matched by another Scottish club. Probably only an English club or a Spanish club will hold that record from now on.

EdiBairn
Some utter nonsense being talked on here about John Hughes. He gave us two 7th placed finishes in the SPL, attacking football and some great signings(Latapy, Stokes, Aafjes, Schmeichel). Anyone who thinks he was a bad manager for us needs their head examining.

Anyone who thinks he was a bad manager for us needs their head examining. He also laid the groundwork that saw us going down, spent lord knows how much time trying to get himself another job. Signed an amazing volume of shite and fucked off when he realised he'd made an unrecoverable arsehole of it. He's been a bad manager, full stop, over pretty much his entire career. Took over a good team, took the plaudits when it was going well, jumped when it wasn't. Sacked by Hibs. Left Livi. Sacked by Hartlepool. Won a cup at Inverness with someone else's team, jumped ship. Relegated Raith and currently can't buy a job. He talks a good game, and you've clearly bought the Kool Aid.

AL-FFC
Pretty sure Chris Mitchell and Marc Twaddle were products of the academy as for Yogi no one will touch him with a barge pole how many good players did we lose because of his ego, there was an article a while back about him and his agent cant work out why he cant get a gig but pretty sure the response was because of his attitude/ego. Yes we did have a bit success under Yogi but the same time as mentioned he is partly responsible for the mess we are in, "The Next level" was Yogis version of "Our Time" only more of a spending spree on players that were over the hill but would have been good signings in there prime. There was a useless LB, Dermot McCaffrey, as well, in about 08 or 09. I remember reading he'd been released by Hibs and thinking "Yogi will have that one lined up already". Sure enough.
gav-ffc
Signing Graeme Barrett on a 2 year deal when he was recovering from a season long injury he got just before signing. Wild.

Wild. Spending the biggest playing budget the club had ever seen on four of your pals and a striker with one knee. Truly a club legend.
Bairney The Dinosaur
All that and he’s still the most successful manager in my time watching the club.

DeeBairn
At best he was a mixed bunch. Was given a level of funding that would bankrupt us if we went down, and spunked it on an absolute cluster of retirees. And then jumped ship like he had been wanting to do for a few seasons. If not wanting to hero worship him for all that makes me a brain donor, then so be it. Have fun with the red dots ya pathetic troll.

Won the First Division twice, finished 7th in the SPL twice, first ever qualification for Europe in our history, victories over both the Old Firm, players like Latapy/Stokes/Riera/Schmeichel/Krul etc etc etc, no relegation from the top flight, Scottish Cup final. None of it is "a mixed bag", he was a huge success.
Bairnardo
Quite astonished that having told a 60 year old woman to f**k off this week, I'm still not the angriest person in this thread tbh.

Only if you ignore all the shite signings, the falling out with players, the constant press releases saying he was using the club as a stepping stone. Then the last season where he saw what a c**t of it he made and fucked off. We are still dealing with his shit, so no, it's not a huge success at all.
