Jim McLean's Ghost
i don't think it was that bad, a lot of the "profit" is in tax breaks (it's handy being rich). i think it's more like £24 million for £30m - 35m worth of season tickets. a terrible deal but it's not happening now anyway. it's like payday loans for football clubs Ticketus say on their website that investors should expect a return of £1.05 in return for £1 invested plus a boat load of tax breaks. I don't know if anyone has posted this link but it gives a quick run down of what Ticketus is, how it makes money and why you would invest your money with them. Plus it talks about guarantees they put in place for their deals Ticketus FAQ
pozbaird
Hmm.... I'm not sure if I can agree with this. I've seldom laughed out loud as I did the night last year that both OF teams were pumped out of Europe and we had a live P&B commentary to accompany Traynor's Your Call. That was tremendous entertainment, and I actually had to take the time to genuinely thank all those involved for the joy it brought me. Possibly topping even that, though, was the famous Gretna Demise thread. That was truly magnificent. Maybe - but remember, the chunts only went into administration two days ago, and the dynamic administration duo of Cagney & Lacey are just getting started. This one is only on Page One....

Gaz
Why the f**k do Rangers need 20 staff in a ticket office?! Surely they can't be full-time employees?

ArabianKnight
•13 media-PR That's clearly an under-representation right there, think they forgot to include the part timers working two jobs.
Richie
In the unlikely event that they are wound up and have to reform as Rangers 2012 or whatever, we can reap further enjoyment from telling the gloryhunting c***s that we all suffer in our local towns, that they now have less trophies to their name than Dumbarton. Who do you support? Rangers Who's your big team? :0)
Gaz FFC
In my head I hope this shows the Old firm how well liked they really are. They are like that guy at the party somebody brought who seems to spend the night ruining everyone's good time. He actually believes in his head that the party will end when he goes, but everyone else is praying for the chance to find out.

kildog
Not just intrigued. Mouth breathers that would have difficulty in giving the correct change suddenly become experts in niche areas of law and corporate ethics. "corporate ethics" is my favourite oxymoron.

Tryfield
I'd never usually want to see any team going bust, but fuckers like this make me want Rangers to cut their wages to £2 per hour.
KD1711
David Murray speaking in 2000.... Mr Murray said: "I feel very sorry for Airdrie and their supporters but we're running a business. We have given them repeated warnings and felt they were playing on our good nature." "I apologise to Airdrie's supporters but something had to be done about this debt. Business is business and Carnegie Sports also have wages to pay." Karmas a bitch!
