I've missed a huge chunk this morning so don't know if this has been discussed but is there is any prospect of more fan groups following the lead of the Dons Trust supporters, making it clear to their chairmen just what they can expect if they vote a newco in? Quite pleasing to see that on the back page of the Record this morning after yesterday's disgrace.

The Green Brigade at Ra Shellick have already issued Lawwell with a letter saying they won't be renewing STs until they know what is happenining and urging others to do the same. Not sure how influential they are. Noticed that the ST deadline for renewal was quietly extended by Celtic last week though.

Watching the programme last night and seeing the various cast of chancers that were passing RFC around like a 2 dollar whore, I actually began to feel sorry for the rank and file Rangers support who, for a change, had not brought any of this humiliation on their club. I even logged on a well know fan site to see what the general opinion of the programme was amongst ordinary ( I know!) fans. My unaccustomed sympathy vanished pretty sharpish:

Re: All Documentary Commentary Here 'Anyone else convinced that after seeing Daly's anti-British hit against the police a few years ago and now his pro timmy documentary that there must be darker forces directed against us?

The BBC has aided and abetted this charlatan in trying to besmirch the good reputation of one of Britain's finest institutions. I fear that the Dublin cabal that is against us led by Dermot Desmond had his minions Craig Whyte and Duff & Phelps bring our club to ruin.

This plot obviously started years before as these ******s had their agents give Sir David dodgy information about the use of EBT's, which he and others at our club thought were legal until they were banned in 2010. The BBC is obviously biased against us and has actively taken up the next advanced step against our club with this tim Daly who bashed those patriotic coppers out of a job years ago with his other treacherous documentary "My Life as a Secret Policeman".

In a healthy society a man like this would be tarred and feathered but in our degraded society he's allowed to play a key role in this cabal that is aligned against us. One only knows where all of this ends but it's our job as Rangers supporters to stand up and countenance this menace! WATP.'

Not here is a spot question for all of you. How many replies were there after this entry that jumped all over it mocking its content and sheer stupidity? Yeh, you got it

I'm not surprised they 'don't do walking away', who else would have them?

I feel sure that was written by one of Pie and Bovril's brave men working behind enemy lines.. cool.gif

I've always been bemused by people who feel the need to fill their entire room (if not car, attic, basement, dungeon etc.) with Celtic/Rangers related merchandise. Anything and everything from bed-covers, coasters, posters, flags, little bear figurines, mugs, DVDs etc. etc. all branded with their clubs logo. In my experience it is mainly Rangers fans that do this BUT to be fair it all depends on where you are within Scotland.

It's almost as if they are incredibly insecure and fill their lives with overpriced items associated with a big, successful football club (in Scottish terms anyway) so that they can feel better about themselves and compensate for having such a shit life.

It's pretty sad really isn't it? Having said that, I bought a Celtic beach towel a few years back that had "Reserved For The Champions" on it. Rangers went on to win/cheat 3 in a row. The towel's still in the fucking bag. :(

Silence! Chris McLaughlin has spoken on Twitter......

BBC Scotland understands that the SPL has set a deadline for D and P to provide the information they need on possible dual contracts..

Phew. We can all rest easy nothing to see here, lads.

FFS, Duff and Phelps don't do duvets deadlines!

Last night's programme provided chapter and verse of the EBT scheme and who benefitted by how much- did you know all that already? It also put detail on what previously were suspicions- that H&D were darts with a wonky flight.

It also shattered the myth that SDM was "duped" by the cunning shyster Whyte and that he made an honest mistake with conseuqnces that could not have been foreseen at the time. The myth therefore that Whyte should be punished, and not the innocent-and-taken-for-granted fair maiden that is Rangers, was torpedoed for good.

We all knew D&P were involved with Whyte from day one. We know they are not acting in the clubs best interests

We know SDM was not duped...He recently admitted he went as far as googling Craig Whyte before selling the club to him. Do you honstly think that is the absolute minimum he should have done? Surely before such a decision Murray should have looked into Whytes background and done a helluva lot more than fucking google him!!

As for the EBTs there was absolutely nothing new there...Names and the amounts they were loaned means absolutely nothing if Rangers win the appeal and nthing in last nights programme suggests they will lose it

I think you are being a bit harsh on Sammy. His collection of figurines, toby jugs etc. are all sourced from Capodimonte, The Franklin Mint and a few wee trinket booths at The Barras and the promenade at Saltcoats. He is a 'weel kent face' on The Antiques Roadshow and counts Henry and John Sandon amongst his friends.

Gie the puir wee berr some peace. :P

One day there will be a pub quiz with the question 'Which former Scottish football club is linked to Joanna Lumley and Prince Albert of Monaco?'

personally if Rangers get liquidated which is looking a nailed on certainty, they should be banned from forming a newco and the rangers supporters should be sent to edinburgh castle to be beheaded for treason to the crown for failing to pay the queen's taxes

Gee whiz, there was plenty. Can you not comprehend that that EBTs were never meant to replace wages?

no we didn't- these were suspicions, not facts.

We know SDM was not duped...He recently admitted he went as far as googling Craig Whyte before selling the club to him. Do you honstly think that is the absolute minimum he should have done? we seem to be conveniently forgetting the laughable "Craig Whyte paid to have his google history erased" line, here. Alistair Johnston raised concerns about SDM's sidelining of the independent scrutiny committee during the Whyte takeover as he was desperate to be shot of your money-haemorrhaging "institution". This programme nailed it, however, chapter and verse, supplanting the lies and he-said-she-said hearsay. You knew all about Craig Whyte's "personal friendship" with Prince Albert of Monaco, and his "proof of funds" letter as evasive and elusive as a black cat covered in oil at 3am on the darkest night of the year? Oh, good.

As for the EBTs there was absolutely nothing new there...Names and the amounts they were loaned means absolutely nothing if Rangers win the appeal and nthing in last nights programme suggests they will lose it

so you knew chapter and verse the amounts paid, to whom, and how much tax was avoided? You knew all about Porny Paul and his carefully crafted Tax Avoidance bus? and said nothing?

Give over.

This is what a lot of the Rangers-minded seem to be struggling with. If EBTs are used for non-discretionary payments - like, oh, say, to top up wages - then they're liable for income taxation just as is a regular salary. There are side letters that in at least one case (that of Papac) indicate that this is exactly what they were used for. How can people just hand-wave this away?
