7-2
Lord Glennie did not suggest or request that the sentence be sent back to the INDEPENDENT Appellate Tribunal. Lord Glennie ordered that it be sent back to the INDEPENDENT Appelate Tribunal. I take it that an INDEPENDENT Appelate Tribunal is worse for Rangers than an INDEPENDENT Appellate Tribunal.

Gaz FFC
Going away for a few days has completely ruined this thread for me I've spent days trying to catch up and am getting nowhere, the lesson here is cancel all holidays. On another note reading this thread is bad for your health. I have been struggling with reading the computer screen lately so visited the optician and was informed my left eye has got dramatically worse recently I now need a new prescription in my glasses Edited June 3, 2012 by Gaz FFC
Baxter Parp
Some reports indicate that Rangers will seek a negotiated punishment. I don't see how. The tribunal is independent and the punishment is non-negotiable.
WeeHectorPar
actually pishing myself laughing at the op in this http://forum.rangers...howtopic=221803 aye thats the same thing mate Just seen this. What a plank! Posted Yesterday, 01:43 PM Humour me with a hypothetical scenario. In this scenario I am self employed and a member of a gold club. My wife does my accounts and has deliberately not paid my taxes. With this money she has instead bought me golf lessons which has resulted in my game improving, so I am better than everyone else at my club. HMRC find out I have not being paying taxes and decide to take me to court. The golf club hear about this and decide to charge me with bringing the game into disrepute. Do you think in the real world a golf club would do that? Posted Today, 09:54 AM They might well do if you were a professional golfer. Or are you suggesting that the Gers are really a plumbing company and only play football on their day off?:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: Edited June 3, 2012 by WeeHectorPar
Mark Connolly
As already pointed out, the effect of the other eleven having to play 2 extra games within an 18 week period is minor compared to Rangers having to play perhaps 20 additional matches in that period. If the SFA suspend Rangers for a full season I'd be very surprised, and I don't see how they can void their games for matches within the suspension period when the SPL runs its own affairs. But it is unneccesary. Regardless of whether it is worse for Rangers, it is still an inconvenience to the other 11. It still means midweek matches when they are unneccessary, and an imbalance in the fixtures with games in hand etc. It also requires the first 33 fixtures to be shoehorned in before the split, otherwise the fixtures could be a total nightmare to arrange. Someone smarter than me will also no doubt be able to provide crowd figures for midweek matches and a comparison to weekend games. How many fans will travel to Glasgow from Dingwall/Inverness/Aberdeen on a midweek night in February just to help out Rangers? Even their own fans from those places won't bother.

Granny Danger
Given the increase in the price of metals how come we still have the gates at Ibrox standing? With wall plaques being nicked, cabling removed, even metal sculptures from the middle of rivers disappearing during the night, I am sure it is not beyond the capability of some Govanites to get a tow truck in place to rip them down and off to the scrappy. Bound to be worth a few quid - cash in hand Charles Green promised when he took over that there would "still be big gates at Ibrox" so I don't think they'll be sold for scrap.
Buckshee Fizz
Hit 'add reply' to this thread, copy and paste the received message, then type in your response and hit 'post' That's answered my question too, so thanks for that. An added benefit to reading this thread is the chance to improve one's computer skills. As a 'Well supporter, I was disappointed but not surprised by Stuart McCall's comments. Basically, he was toeing the Hateley/Goram line - without Rangers, we're all doomed! Doomed, Ah tell ye, doomed! (Private Fraser accent). In his e-mail, of course, he simply asserted it as a fact, with no backing evidence, no engagement with actual numbers attending matches, financial figures involved. However, today's article in 'Scotland on Sunday' suggests that 'Well would be the biggest losers in a Rangers-free SPL, to the tune of more than 700,000 pounds. Whereas Kilmarnock stand to lose only 200,000. How come? Can anyone substantiate, or preferably refute, these figures? Regardless, I'm of the same mind as before, that the damage inflicted on the higher echelons of Scottish football by this 'peculiar institution' (history buffs will take the reference)will be nothing to the damage accruing if the b*****ds survive to lord it over us again. Bearwithme
Seems the SFA might be considering taking Whyte to a civil court. That would be interesting.... THE SFA are preparing to return to Edinburgh’s Court of Session to force shamed former Rangers owner Craig Whyte into coughing up a £200,000 fine. The governing body lost out to Rangers in the same court last week when Lord Glennie ruled the transfer ban imposed by the SFA judicial panel on the Ibrox club was outwith their powers. This week, though, the SFA’s legal team will be told to pursue Whyte for the fine that was handed down to him at the same time as the transfer embargo for bringing the game into disrepute. Whyte, who sneered at the time: “Good luck collecting the money,” had been given 30 days to pay but that deadline passed 10 days ago. A Hampden source last night said: “If he does not respond we must consider taking a civil action against Mr Whyte through the Court of Session.” http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/football/spl/rangers/2012/06/03/sfa-to-launch-legal-proceedings-in-bid-to-reclaim-200k-fine-handed-out-to-craig-whyte-86908-23884056/
glenafton1
Just read in the Sunday Mail that the SFA are going to take Craig White to court regarding the non payment of his fine;what happened to keeping it in house;i think Rangers should get in touch with Fifa and see what happens or maybe they will be to busy looking into whats going on in Italy regarding match fixing and coruption within that assocation

Theres no suggestion anywhere that the SFA are going to court to in any way with regard to a punishment. Theres is simply an unpaid debt and I presume that this debt will be pursue through the normal channels.
