Ross. Posted June 8, 2015 Share Posted June 8, 2015 I thought he said that as a business it makes it easier, however as a fan he wanted promotion? I think he did say that, but I also think he is completely wrong. Yes you have longer to prepare for the big league, but it means reduced income from sponsorship and TV, it means fewer players will consider moving there unless they are paid over the top wages, and it means potentially missing out for yet another year if you don't get it right again. Staying in the Championship is terrible for business. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ross. Posted June 8, 2015 Share Posted June 8, 2015 What an absolute brilliant interview, I was not worried in slightest before and I am even less worried now. Carry on.. At least you've kept your sense of humour. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If we can get in players on sensible enough wages then it won't be as mental as your post suggests. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Miguel Sanchez Posted June 8, 2015 Share Posted June 8, 2015 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33051841 "We will need money now to beef up the squad," said King, who led a successful boardroom takeover in March. "We need players to be competitive in Premiership, so there will be substantial investment in next months. It may be necessary to over-invest. "The mandate is to get players who could perform in the Premiership and that would greatly reduce the risk for next season." If we can get in players on sensible enough wages then it won't be as mental as your post suggests. The fact he is coming out with so much bullshit on it instead of being honest should be a worry for Rangers fans. After Whyte and Green you would think the fans would have an inbuilt suspicion of shysters and fraudsters. My post isn't mental, everything in it is fairly obvious. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You don't need to overspend to win that Division. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

~~~ Posted June 8, 2015 Share Posted June 8, 2015 You don't need to overspend to win that Division. Don't forget, they've been saying since Div.3 they need a squad that can challenge for the premiership first time of asking, plus one good enough to compete in the cups 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
nsr Posted June 8, 2015 Share Posted June 8, 2015 So I'm guessing this was just an exercise in getting the Orcs to hand over their unearned cash in the form of season tickets? 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
AberdeenBud Posted June 8, 2015 Share Posted June 8, 2015 Dave King. A holding company/club/clumpany/team with the second highest wage bill in the country, living hand to mouth on payday loans, needs to "over invest". Does it, aye? You'd have to be pretty stupid to lap this up surely? 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
