Insaintee
Apples and pears, chap. HMRC got nothing but bills (which they refuse to count) wrt to EBTs. The PAYE/Wee Tax Case is another situation and one which I've no strong opinion on. Not at all, both tax dodging by the same club. HMRC will get something from D+P. They will get even more than Mr King Edited June 7, 2015 by Insaintee
Sergeant Wilson
Gaz, in truth HMRC SHOULD have agreed to a CVA - especially having turned down a settlement from The Mint. I'd go as far as to say that the only organisation looking even less competent than us over this past few years is Hector Inc. I'd also wager that posters on here would be outraged by HMRC's behaviour if it was directed at anyone but Rangers. Only Rangers acted the way they did, that's why their treatment was unique.
AberdeenBud
I'd also wager that posters on here would be outraged by HMRC's behaviour if it was directed at anyone but Rangers. Utter nonsense. It was/is Rangers actions that brought them much deserved scorn and derision and a hostile attitude from HMRC. Hector was treated with complete contempt and got nothing but lies and obfuscation for a long period. He who laughs last though, eh?

The_Kincardine
Utter nonsense. It was/is Rangers actions that brought them much deserved scorn and derision and a hostile attitude from HMRC. Hector was offered a deal wrt The Big Tax Case by Minty. They refused. Hector was offered the chance of a CVA. They refused. They got cunted at the T1 tribunal. They got cunted at the T2 tribunal. They applied for the final appeal to be held in England and were, again, refused. HMRC had the opportunity to recover about £10 Million from Moonbeams. Instead they have spent £who knows because the won't tell us in flogging a dead horse. Clearly I am not blaming HMRC for our demise. Only dullards (and Dougal) would think that but they have a serious case to answer.

Do you really think if you repeat this shite often enough it will become true? How many EBT cases did the old club get away with where the documentation hadn't been destroyed? The only cases where they weren't found liable were those where Shred-it had done their work in time. Where evidence was available, it proved HMRC's case every time.

stonedsailor
Xmas 2012 was the first date on our happy posters wishlist. To be fair guys if it was not for the financial doping from payday loans it would have happened at Xmas 2012 and many times since.

Five more fucking years of Hector chasing the EBT money. Shame that.
nsr
Sevconians have been well and truly duped into believing that Medium Dave is "wan ae us", "a real Rainjurz man", "wan ae the good guys". Isn't that exactly how a sociopathic compulsive liar would typically operate? Deluding their intended victims into believing they were "one of us"?
