beermonkey
Pretty sure Celtic shat their pants at the threat of legal action and came to an agreement with HMRC - seems like a sensible approach eh? On the broader point of this being a test case for others, wonder what other clubs will now be worried? Arsenal have long been understood to be one, and if there's tax evasion involved, any club Harry Redknapp's dog has been at must surely be a contender too. On the narrower point of Rangers, lol. If i remember right, Arsenal done the same thing, Hmrc got wind of it & arsenal coughed up what was owed. End of story. If only rangers had done that instead of hiding everything from everyone.

The_Kincardine
If only rangers had done that instead of hiding everything from everyone. On the money, chap. I always thought there should be a thread exposing our calumnies but no c**t would be that bothered. I reckon it'd be a 2-pager at best. sergie's no1 fan
The Mint offered HMRC a £10M deal. That was very generous of him .
Joey Jo Jo Junior Shabadoo
We paid HMRC for that. There would still be player registration implications though, no? Right enough, no 'sporting advantage' would have been gained because Juninho was pish anyway.

AyrshireTon
Hmmm 2003 Scottish Cup - not sure we can claim that one as we went into admin later that year! Well if nobody wants it, give it to a more needy club. Like Hibs.

We did lose the league that year also As far as I can remember, Juninho was paid via an EBT after he left Celtic.... a few years later we became aware of a potential tax liability, done a deal with HMRC.

If only rangers had done that instead of hiding everything from everyone. The difference being that Arsenal have a surplus to the tune of £200 million sitting in their current account, and 2 of the richest men on the planet (genuine billionaires) fighting for control of the club. They can afford to pay it off. The **** have nothing but a mountain of debt, and a bunch of crooks in charge.

Billy Jean King
We should share them all out equally among the clubs that had nothing to do with it or weren't around back then. Congrats on your first 1/42th of a major honour sevco. Hibs will be ordering an open topper tomorrow !
Hey! Ho! Jambo!
And there more http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/rangers/1331979-rangers-await-panel-verdict-on-outstanding-lord-nimmo-smith-ebt-fine/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter So the much referenced (by them) Lord Nimmo verdict and fine hasn't been paid yet. Classless munters.
an86
So it's official then, eh? Shock horror. "As I'm concerned, the first thing you can do for me is to chuck all your medals and all your caps and all your pots and all your pans into the biggest fucking dustbin you can find, because you've never won any of them fairly. You've done it all by bloody cheating." - Brian Clough
bennett
Why would I do that when you posted it on here and I post on here? Anyway, I don't use twitter. Strange you've previously posted about how Rangers fans were verbally abusing you on twitter. Edited November 4, 2015 by bennett
jagfox
The only beneficiaries of The Five way Agreement have been Regan and Doncaster. You diddies did nothing more than endorse their inpet rule over Scottish football.
