Big Rangers Administration/Liquidation Thread - All chat here!

Doesn't *anyone* at Sevco read contract agreements before signing them? Why on earth didn't they give these guys full medicals before agreeing to this?

That's kind of the point. Remember, at the time, Clipboard Kenny was in 'control' (i.e. being told what to do by the Ashley-dominated board). Ashley probably - and very wisely so - saw his regime coming to an end so did as much to put liability onto any new administration as he could, hence the IP transfer and the simply ludicrous loan arrangement here. Shift one fit player and four crocks to Ibrox? Doesn't matter where the injured players are sitting while both clubs are effectively under Mike's control, but if he was to lose control of Ibrox then it would be a further millstone around the necks of the replacement board.

Billionaire Mike Ashley’s just made himself even more money as MASH profits more than double to £542.6million

FIGURES released for the financial year up to April 30, 2014 show the Rangers shareholder and Newcastle owner’s cash pile rocket from £256.4m.

MIKE ASHLEY’S company MASH Holding’s pre-tax profits have more than doubled to £542.6million, it can be revealed.

Figures released for the financial year up to April 30, 2014 show the Rangers shareholder and Newcastle owner’s cash pile rocket from £256.4m.

And they show he made £3,843,000 from Rangers retail alone in that time.

It’s the second successive year the Sports Direct billionaire’s profit has more than doubled.

The previous year had seen it rise from £130.6m up to £256.4m. Ashley is disliked by Newcastle supporters as much as he is at Ibrox.

He further enraged Rangers supporters when it was revealed last week he now owns the club’s crest and badges.

The new Rangers regime will have to repay the £5m loan he lent them to gain control of the intellectual property rights.Ashley’s Sports Direct empire also own 75 per cent of all Rangers retail.

He has a 100 per cent shareholding in MASH.

Is Ashley deliberately screwing Rangers just for the giggles? Fantastic if he was......

Weren't the same people saying we should be backing Mike Ashley the same people who a few months ago were mocking the fact he was involved with Rangers ?

I'm happy to include myself in that group. Care to explain why you feel one should preclude the other?

You seem confused.

All you need to know is that the good guys have won!

Rejoice!

I know. You poor fucks can't win. Everyone is screwing you over. It is just the degree of screwing which varies by board of directors.

Funny as f**k.

This. Only made funnier by the fact that nobody, but nobody, could have seen any of this coming. If only someone had warned them...
