I don't think bennett, Tedi or The_Khincardine actually believe any of the staunch proclamations they come out with. They're playing the part that being a Sevconian requires them to play, regardless of its increasing distance from any semblance of reality.

You're forgetting MA is an idiot and orc collective are contract experts.

Thanks to UEFA's new "Champions route" Celtic are restricted to playing other national champions from leagues outside the top 12. They're protected from meeting big league opposition

The "Champions Route" means that won't happen. Realistically it should now see Celtic qualify more often than not, but as last season showed, it's far from a guarantee.

ETA:

I see Ashley has released his statement pre EGM. Essentially calling King a crook and saying that he'll happily fade into the background if he is repaid. There was also a fairly blatant "You're not a big club anymore" dig in there too, which was pleasing.

Cheers. I'd done a quick google, and I've misinterpreted what it said on the Daily Record link that came up:

"Teams will be seeded in respective sections and play home and away to try to reach the play-off round with losing sides being parachuted into the Europa League.

Providing Celtic remain seeded they’ll join the likes of Ajax, Monaco, Fenerbahce, Red Bull Salzburg and CSKA Moscow in the draw.

They will hope to win through to the play-off round at which stage clubs such as Manchester United, Valencia, Sporting and Bayer Leverkusen enter the competition. The draw is August 7 with ties going ahead on August 18/19 and 25/26."

How stupid.

Tedi did a similar thing yesterday.

When asked to enter into mature discussion in order to support a previous statement, he too simply repeated an idiotic assertion without any attempt to justify it.

It represents a transparent admission of defeat.

Your post required a yes or no answer, that is all.

Oh look the orcs have suddenly clicked on to what a loan without a repayment date means...

..The announcement made to the LSE includes the nomination of two Directors since removed, subject to AIM and other regulatory body spproval. There now is no AIM and not by Ashleys doing.

Also, the terms of loans are made based on risk. Hence why we cant gonto banks. We have a new board and no longer on AIM. Now, the small print in these circumstances can nullify the terms of the original agreement.

A loan agreement with no payback date, is payable on demand eg. EBT or tax efficient type loans. You get a loan with no payback date, but in law, the default position is payable on demand if the lender demands it. Normally it is stated in the small print. If it isn't, it goes on precedence.

It is a minefield, but the weight of the law in these matters rests with the lender, because its his money in the first place and thats the bit I feel most are avoiding. Ashley being the big bad wolf, isnt a reason not to pay. Its like a pissin contest. We are bigger than.

If this is what it is all about, murky and dangeorous waters, but even worse, if our leader is bluffing and just stonewalling, we are in a bad place and will do nothing for our credibility, never mind king's as his is already blown with his previous and recent contradictory statements..

If anyone thinks that this spat with Ashley is a walk in the park, then we are mistaken. With his track record, alarm bells should be ringing and getting into a position of defending ourselves and if part of that is paying up then so be it.

You lot keep getting excited for something that never gets closer to happening...

If you don't reckon an almighty stramash is going to break out unless Mike gets his 5 million, you are one-hundred and thirty per cent kidding yourself.

King has probably had legal advice on this and been told that he does not have to repay it as there is no date. This was probably the same adviser that told him he could get a nomad and that he would not have to apply to the courts to be allowed onto the board of rangers.

Is Tedi moonlighting as a QC

No matter what happens, the Sevconians on here will still find a way to spin it as Dave "Good Guy" King triumphing over Mike "Big Fat Bully" Ashley. They do love to paint themselves as an oppressed underdog.
